chapter seven;
if you're going to call me so much you might as well order me take outjin had the weekend to get his work bag back. he severely hoped namjoon had seen it and picked it up after jin had left it on the bus. jin pulled out his phone and called the number that had texted him a few days ago. he hoped the number was namjoon's and not the namjoon look alike's.
the phone rang five times before the line clicked. jin waited for namjoon to say hello but all he heard was an eerie silence. "hello?" jin asked cautiously. "namjoon?" the line clicked dead. oh, maybe i dialed it wrong.
jin sat on the couch contemplating what to do.
maybe he should call again...+namjoon;
as rain fell outside his bedroom window, namjoon stared at the black computer bag jin had left on the bus. why was that boy in such a big hurry that he forgot about his own work bag? he clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes. namjoon thought about how he had probably scared jin. if he had not of gotten on that stupid bus, maybe jin would have been calm enough to grab his stuff. damn. that boy is always on my mind.
jin's adorable, jealous eyes and quirky smile had been running in namjoon's head ever since that 3am night with the "criminal art," sayings. namjoon quietly laughed at the thought of jin's nickname for his spray paint art. he shakes his head and whispers, "what a cute fool."
namjoon somehow still hadn't been able to get jin's phone number and that saddened him. he wanted to be able to call jin at random times at night or day when namjoon couldn't take his own reflection anymore. sure; namjoon had taehyung, but tae-tae was all too much like a little puppy. namjoon wasn't in to puppies following him, but rather, he was was in to princes — not the rude, ungrateful kind of course. he wanted to buy everything for the boy. it didn't matter the price or whatever it was - even if jin wanted a fucking minion plushie, namjoon wouldn't think twice about buying it. he wanted to always be there for jin and be able to provide for anything the darling wanted. of course, first namjoon would have to capture the prince's locked-up-in-a-secret-castle heart. namjoon grabbed jin's work bag and put it softly in his own "work" bag and left out his front door, passing a sleeping taehyung.
+jin;
ring ring... ring ring
jin picked up the phone immediately, not heckling the caller I.D."hello! namjoon, yes, please bring my work bag to my house."
there was silence on the other end besides the slight mutter of breath.
"ah.. hello?" jin unsurely asked. the person on the other line cleared his or her throat.
"ah, yes. good day." the mans raspy voice ran chills down jin's neck to the bottom of his back. he gulped before shakily replying, "w-who a-are you?"
jin could feel the smile in the man's voice. "ah jin boy, you don't need to know of that~"
the chilling man continued on through jin's silence. "i see you've lost ur bag... or namjoon- oh my dear friend namjoon - stole it from you-"
"namjoon wouldn't steal or anything of the sort!" defended jin with the small spurt of confidence he could muster. the man laughed on the other line.
"you," he said between deep chuckles, "don't know namjoon like i do. you see, jin, has namjoon not mentioned-"
jin hit the end button faster than he picked up the phone at the start of the conversation. jin threw his phone on his couch in front of him. jin was scared - of namjoon, the deep-voiced man, and most of all the fact that his roommate hadn't been home in two days. he certainly hoped she was just at a special friend's house and not kidnapped.
jin hadn't eaten anything the entire day because of the worry of his work bag and his best friend. he quite honestly hadn't been able to focus and not even cleaning helped the poor boy. his apartment had started to become much dirtier than usual. jin usually stresses out about the such but instead he didn't quite notice the mess. more than likely because of his own mess of a life he had been trying to fix, but to no avail, everything he did made it worse. the ring of his phone once again made him flinch away.
he slowly sneaked towards the couch, this time, checking the called i.d. it wasn't the same number as before, so he answered it cautiously.
"... hello?" jin answered.
"hello sir! you have just won a trip to-"
jin ended the call almost immediately after hearing the bot's voice.
jin cursed, "damn scammers."
