Chelsea and Jason decided not to tell anyone about what happened on the roof. Well it was more of Chelsea making that decision for them. Because Jason wanted to get his friend help. But with a lot of convincing begging, and crying some how she got him to keep his mouth shut.
He knew there would be a time when he would have to tell someone. When that time came it would have to be only for the better sake of Chelsea. Everything was being to go back to normal or at least as normal as it could be. To Chelsea it was normal , everyday she was trying to forget what happened more and more.
While that was all Jason wanted to talk about, he had so many questions. As usual stuck with all his emotions he kept them to himself. It was lunch and their usual group of friends sat at the table talking loudly, laughing, the usual. Jason and Chelsea sat at the ends of the table kinda excluded and block out of most conversations. They both sat with their chin resting in the palm of their hands supported and held up by their resting elbow.
"You Okay?" Jason asked.
"Just fine." Chelsea lied, nothing new. She had a pounding headache and knew she should be eating something.
"Why don't I buy you something to eat?" Jason offered. She chuckled, every time he'd offer to buy her something she thought it was so cute. But she'd never actually let him. She always felt like a burden whenever she took things people offered to her.
"No Jason I'm fine." she insisted, but he continued to press her about it.
"Well that's too bad because I'm buying you something anyways"
"Really Jason Stop." she scolded."I just wanna buy you something, it's not that serious" he laughed. Not understanding why she was getting so upset.
"'Well to you nothing is serious, everything's just a huge joke isn't it!" she exclaimed. Grabbing her things and leaving the lunchroom.
JASON'S POV
Chelsea quickly got p and left before I could stop her. She'd been acting so weird and on edge recently. I jut wanted my best friend back.
I haven't seen her eating or drinking, but she'd been working out in the school gym like three times a day. "Chelsea?!" I called out as I saw her not too far down the hallway.
I caught up to her, we were walking side by side. She sucked her teeth then picked up her pace. I grabbed her wrist trying to pull her back but she hissed in pain flinging her hand out of my grip.
"What's wrong with your wrist?"
"It's nothing I must have hit it on something""Please-" I was cut off by a bathroom door slamming in my face.
CHELSEA'S POV
I slipped into the girls bathroom, I just wanted him to stop caring so much. I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself. My hair was is a messy frizzy bun. Mascara running from my falling tears. I rose my hands to my face tucking some of the baby hairs behind my ears. I exhaled loudly then banged my fist on the counter of the sinks.
"Chelsea, you okay?" Jason's muffled voice yelled form the other side of the door. I kept quiet not really knowing how to respond. I didn't want to lie anymore so being silent seemed like the better option Jason yelled louder than the first time asking if I was alright. I hopped up and sat up on the counter, sitting with my knees in my chest. While I wrapped my arms around them keeping it in place. I heard Jason voice again and it wasn't really helping my headache.
I bowed my head blocking out the things he was saying. I shoot up as a heard my name being called yet again. Jason stood directly in front of me, he was so sweet .
It sucked -______________-
"What are you doing in here?" I was yelling in a whisper
"You weren't answer so I had to come in a make sure you were fine." he explained. Although I already knew why but I wasn't understanding in that moment. m
"Please stop caring so much you're only making things worse."
Yet another tear slipping away. "B-but I can't"
I furrowed my eye brows.
"Why not Jason!" I shouted
He stepped towards me resting a hand on my knee and the other on the nape of my neck.
"I love you.."his mouth perfectly formed the words and i just sat there clueless, not knowing what to say. He added nervously
"I love you as a friend of course and that's why I care so much about you."
And to top of breaking my heart he grabbed my hand smiling.
"That's the real reason I'm not okay" I mumbled only low enough for me to hear. He pulled me off from the counter standing me up. My gaze met his foggy blue eyes. I'd only seen them that color when he was scared
"Chelsea, please tell me what the problem is." he begged, using his thumb to wipe my falling tear.
"You're the only problem Jason. "
