"So why exactly were you not paying attention in class?" The teacher, Mr. Biersack asked me. Currently I was in detention. It wasn't given to me by him but the other detention room was filled so I had to come here.
"I've just been thinking and crap. At least you didn't give me a detention like Hanison. Thanks for that by the way." I told him, sitting like an indian in the chair.
"Your brother?" He asked. Mr. Biersack was my older brother's best friends until my brother died. Today was the six year anniversary of his death. Andy aka "Mr. Biersack" was always over at my house. They were eighteen when my brother died. I was ten. Fast forward six years, I'm now seventeen and a senior in high school.
"Yeah and my parents were fighting this morning so that doesn't help much." I told him. He let out a huff and bent down and rested the top part of himself on the large lab table in the front of the room. I was sitting at a smaller lab table in the very front of the room.
"You know why don't they just get a damn divorce? They've been fighting ever since you were a baby." He told me. That was the thing with Andy, he was friends with my brother since before I was born. I basically grew up with Andy and my brother taking care of me a lot.
"They're in the middle of the divorce and fighting over the house and money. It's not like we have any anyway." I told him, leaning my elbows against the top of the lab table. He stood up but kept his elbows on the lab table.
"I miss coming over there you know? Coming to your place and chilling with you and annoying you was fun." He told me giggling.
"My parents wouldn't allow it. They never let me do anything anymore. I can't even go to the park by myself anymore." I told him.
"All you have to do is walk 40 feet then you're in the park. What the hell?" He asked, looking outside making sure no one was out there. The door was shut anyway but he was just making sure.
"I'm not kidding." I told him, putting my head against my arms on the lab table. Slightly closing my eyes, he began talking.
"Hey, after graduation, come back to town once in a while so I can see you." He told me chuckling. Opening my eyes, we was smiling slightly.
"I got you Andy." I told him, mumbling.
"Hey kid, if you need me I'm here alright. Your parents know me damn well so even if they get mad, they'll blame me." He told me. Coming up in front of me, I sat my head up on my arms. He crouched down in front of me and smiled.
Raising his eyebrows, his blue eyes showed gleam fully. His nose ring was showing. I was still shocked how he was able to get a job here. His smile looked full, a smile on his face currently.
"If they're fighting tonight if I call you I'm sneaking out." I said giggling.
"That's fine with me kid. You know my door is always open. Hey, at least it's Friday." He told me. Nodding my head, my phone buzzed. Taking it out, I realized it was my mom calling me.
Once I answered it, Andy got up and sat in his chair."You're in detention right?" Was the first thing I heard out of her.
"Yes, I'm in Andy's room though." I told her, hoping she'd know who I was talking about that.
"Who?" She asked.
"Biersack, Adam's old friend." I told her, Andy looking over at me and coming over to me.
"Can you go to a friends house tonight?" She asked rushed. There was an anxiety or fear to her voice.
"What's friends?" I asked. Honestly, in this school I had no friends.
"Can you stay at Andy's tonight?" She asked me.
"Let me ask." I said quickly. "Andy, my mom just asked me to ask you if I could stay over tonight." I told him. He looked at me and smiled.
"Yea, you can you know that." He told me.
"He said yes, and why exactly?" I asked him.
"Your dad and I are going on a little road trip." I furrowed my brow and looked oddly at it.
"You two were fighting this morning and now you're going on a road trip giving me notice now?" I asked her.
"I don't have long, love you darling." She told me then hung up.
"I'm not gonna ask." I told him.
"Well after this hour is up, you can hang with me alright? You don't gotta be alone." He told me smiling.
"Thanks Ands." I told him, he smiled and then went to his computer. Tonight was going to be fun
