"NO DAN!" i shouted running after him
Dan was walking on the pavement towards a construction site
"DAN STOP!" he didn't even acknowledge me he just kept on walking...
"DAN STOP YOU'RE GOING TO GET HURT!"
he didn't even flinch at my words. i felt tears swell up in my eyes.
i finally caught up to him "DAN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!"
No response, he didn't even look at me... we were getting closer to the site.
i put my hand on his shoulder "D-DAN?!"
he smacked my hand away. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DAN?!" I screamed in his ear.
he flinched at how loud my voice was, so i knew i was making progress.
"DAN WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU!" i yelled stepping in front of him so he couldn't walk any farther.
he spoke in a annoyed tone "Phil fuck off!"
Phil was so hurt by those words.
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU DAN"
Dan began to cry but kept brushing my hand away when i laid it on him.
"Phil-" his voice cracked
"these last few months- they've been wonderful with you..." he stopped to wipe away a stray tear"
i put my hand on his shoulder but he didn't push me away "yea they have been wonderful so what exactly is the problem Dan?"
"Phil- they, hate me... they hate us, they hate the idea of us..."
"w-what are you talking about Dan who's 'they'?"
"t-the viewers... the fans..."
"Dan what on earth are you talking about? they love us they love the idea of Phan being a thing its their new OTP!"
"Phil you don't understand... i started getting mean Dm's saying stuff like "you fag" or "ugly homo" and the worst "Phil deserves better than you" i just cant take it anymore!... and... the worst part is... they are all...right"
"r-right?! DAN! you shouldn't let what people say bring you down! it only matters what you and i think!
"PHIL YOU LITTLE SHIT! YOU JUST DON'T GET!...i agree with them"
my eyes went wide and i tightened my grip on Dan's shoulder
"DANIEL JAMES HOWELL WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT YOU ARE PERFECT!"
"NO I'M NOT PHIL YOU DO DESERVE BETTER I'M ONLY HOLDING YOU BACK FROM GREAT THINGS THAT COULD BE HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE, FROM BEING SUCCESSFUL, FROM BEING WITH SOMEONE GREAT!-
i immediately cut him off by slapping him across his face.
"DAN GET A HOLD OF YOURSE-
i was cut off by his fist colliding with my jaw.
i winced in pain, holding my jaw and started to taste something metallic in my mouth...blood...
"YOU DON'T GET TO SLAP ME ACROSS THE FACE YOU SHIT!" he spat.
"DAN I'M SORRY BUT I WANTED YOU TO SNAP OUT OF IT! YOU ARE PERFECT AND YOU DON'T NEED THE FANS OPINIONS TO RUN YOUR LIFE! ALL YOU NEED IS ME, YOU AND US!
