Before TFA
Magna is Han and Leia's second child, Ben's younger sister. Leia finds out she's pregnant with Magna after Luke, Ben and Han leave. None of them knowing about Magna coming into existence. When she is young she learns she has the Force in her and Leia briefly helps Magna learn to subtly use it, more so learn how to control it. Later on; when Magna is thirteen, she starts learning the history of the Force, it gets her to realize the truth about the two sides of the Force. This all starts to trouble her and it makes her realize that she would end up having to pick a side. Which she doesn't want to do because she feels it would make her like everyone will be relying on her to go towards the light side. Since all she knows is that her brother is on the dark side and Leia would want her to be like Luke. She still only knows her brother as Ben. By the time she's seventeen she's had enough of her thoughts with the Force and ran away to some desolate planet. Taking a spacecraft, and some supplies with her. (Blame Poe for teaching her how to fly.) The desolate planet she finds is named Arderen, which she names herself because there are no other human life or activity on the planet. Arderen is full of plant life and very little animal life. The animal life consists of birds, ground birds and fish. The plant life has edible fruits that Magna uses as her main food source from the planet aside from some fish she can manage to catch. She doesn't always stay conformed to Arderen. She'll leave and go to near by planets with fruits and trade them for things she'll be in need of (clothing mostly) on those adventures she obtain lightsabers (taking for her own or not). On Arderen, Magna lives inside a cave in which later on she builds herself a metal dome to live in. Magna spends time meditating and connecting with the Force. A lot of the times meditates with her lightsabers. Other times she uses her lightsabers to train on her own with the Force. She's gotten so connected with the Force that she can make her lightsabers circle her in mid-air, even as she meditates. As far as she knows anything with her lightsabers is all she can do with just her mind and the Force.
TFA
Magna senses many different ruptures in the Force, none of them particularly concerning besides one that somehow lead her to tears. But she did nothing about the ruptures she felt.
Magna's canon
As Magna is meditating in the metal dome she's made for herself, she feels the presence of others arriving on Arderen. Soon appears Luke Skywalker and Rey, they try to convince her to join the light side, but they aren't the only ones. Kylo Ren and General Hux then appear and try to get Magna to join the dark side. Magna tells the two sides why she won't pick a side because both sides lose. It gets to a point where she has to fight Rey and Kylo with her sabers to get them to go, which they both do. These events cause Magna to leave Arderen and scout for another desolate planet. Kylo Ren being smart, had a tracker on her ship that she has and followed her to her second desolate planet. Narminiun. Unlike Arderen, Narminiun is hilly, mountainous and rigid. Rainfall was common for Narminiun so her water supply was fine, food however will be difficult. There were birds but unlike the ones of Arderen and they were pretty much impossible to catch. Magna is smart and bought fruit from Arderen to plant. Which was a little difficult since there was more stone than dirt. But her food supply became unnecessary when Kylo Ren shows up, again trying to convince her to join. Unlike before, Kylo pulls "we're siblings" on her. She starts to /act/ interested, which leads him to ask, "which lightsaber?" She has a total of twelve sabers, two of each colour. Blue, red, yellow, purple, green and orange. The one she picks, to act like she is on his side, a red saber. Bringing it onto her belt with the Force. Still not touching any of her sabers. The other ones Kylo allows her to keep as they return to the newest base for the First Order. --UC--
