"Ugh..." Gintoki groaned as his head painfully throbbed at a steady pace. "...I'm definitely going to get a hangover tomorrow..." The drunkard gripped his silver-permed hair tightly and stumbled to get back home, to them.
"Hey there, man."
Gintoki raised his head and saw a group of people surrounding him. He sighed and tried to dismiss them with a glare.
"Whoa! Chill man, we're just tryna talk to yer, nothing bad." One of the members sneered with hands raised in a mocking manner. Gintoki could sense that something bad's going to happen if he were to stick around for a moment longer.
"Get lost, can't you see that I'm busy?" Gintoki tried to give them the cold shoulder but apparently they're not backing off anytime soon.
"Aww, don't be so cold, dude. Come, why don't we treat ya to somethin' nice now?" A predatory grin was plastered on all of them as they slowly made their way closer to Gintoki.
"...What are you pulling out of your pocket?" Gintoki eyed the guy closest to him and backed away.
"Oh, this?" The man grinned and pulled the object out of this pocket, revealing a taser. Gintoki paled slightly and got ready to run but before he could, the man tasered him in the stomach.
"...! Nghh..." The samurai fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
-- Somewhere nearby --
"Oi, Hijikata-san, can I go back first?" Okita asked in an extremely rude and disrespectful tone.
"Huh? Well I guess, there isn't much to do anyways." Okita grinned at Hijikata's response because he pulled out his rocket launcher prepared to fire. But before he could he sensed danger somewhere, but being the lazy copy that's just been dismissed...He didn't really feel like checking it out.
"Well then, see ya."
Hijikata waved his hand without turning back and Okita just walked away while plotting ways to kill Hijikata. After a few minutes of walking, Okita caught site of something. It was a wooden sword, identical to a certain someone.
"..."
Okita looked around before going to retrieve the sword. It indeed belonged to the person in his mind: Gintoki. He examined it and saw that there wasn't much damage on it at all. In fact, it was taken care of really well. Except for the curry smell that you would get a whiff of if you were close enough.
Okita came to a conclusion that Gintoki was drunk and probably dropped it while stumbling home or something. So Okita decided to return the sword to him because he did hold respect for the silver-haired man.
And with that thought in mind, he headed to the Shinsengumi quarters, where all his friends were. However, little did he know that if he were to look a little further, a life would've been saved...
