"Is it just me or is there something off about Madison?," I asked.

We were currently in my room just talking.

"I think it's safe to say that we all feel that way," Janelle answered.

"Yeah, you right," Aaliyah agreed.

"Wow Aaliyah," Cynthia said.

"What?," Aaliyah asked.

"It's just that you always have something good to say about everybody," Cynthia answered.

"That's true but, you gotta draw a line at a certain point," Aaliyah answered.

"Oooh what'd she do?," Janelle asked.

"She trying to get with Daniel, knowing full well that I like him," Aaliyah answered.

"That's low," I said.

"I know and when I asked her about it she had the nerve to lie and deny it," she said.

"When did you ask her about it?," I asked.

"Earlier before I came over," she answered.

"Wow, see I knew-"

I was cut off by knocking at my window. I walked over and opened it.

"You coming outside or what ma?," Jay asked, holding some rocks.

"We'll be down in a minute," I answered.

"Come on girls," I said, turning to them only to find already walking down the stairs, "Well damn."

Once we got outside Cynthia instantly ran over to her boyfriend, Chris.

"Hey baby," he said, hugging her.

"I missed you," she said, as he picked her up.

"I missed you too," he said, kissing her.

Chris went to a different school then us and Cynthia only saw him about 3 times a week. It made me happy to see her happy.

"What's up yall?," Trey asked, then he turned to Janelle and greeted her in a monotone.

Janelle and Trey were like Barbie and Ken. Their relationship was on and off. They were always getting into fights but no matter how bad it got, they always came back to eachother. They needed eachother, they just didn't know that yet.

"Whatever Trey," Janelle said, walking off.

"Baby!," he called, running after her.

"Hi Aaliyah," Daniel said, hugging her.

"Hi Daniel," Aaliyah replied, hugging him back.

He whispered something in her ear and she giggled.

"Sup Simone," Jay said, hugging me from behind.

"Hey Jay," I said, turning around to face him.

Then there was Jay and I. We were broken past repair. Nobody had admitted any feeling and it was like a game for us. Whoever give in first, lost. I would give him a chance but, he was a f boy and I wasn't trying to get my heart broken again.

"You miss me?," he asked, his arms still around my waist.

"Maybe," I answered, walking over to his pool and dipping my feet in.

"What a dude gotta do to get with you?," he asked, sitting next to me.

"You gotta be faithful, which means cutting off all your hoes," I answered.
