A/N: New chapter! Yay! I'm not exactly sure where this is going to go at this point sooooo...let's just see what happens! Trust me, I'm going into this as blindly as you are XD Enjoy!
*Chrys' POV*
For the next few weeks of school, Dan left me alone. More or less. He didn't have any friends at this school so he sat at the other end of the table that Lizzie and I ate our lunch at. He didn't intrude on our conversations but I could tell by the way he sat and avoided eye contact that he was listening to our every word.
He also followed me in between classes like a lost puppy. And it was getting on my last nerve. I coped with it though. I went home every day and sat down at my desk with a sigh of relief. Home was the one place I could get away from him.
Work too. I tutored kids in Math and English (literature, vocabulary, etc.). I even helped out some kids who were seniors. My number one student was my little sister, Rosie. She was only ten but could read two years above her grade level and was the best student in her class when it came to Math. And it was all thanks to me.
Rosie was the one person in my life that I could count on. Mom and Dad got divorced shortly after Rosie was born. Mom ended up getting full custody and Dad moved away to New York or something. Even Mom didn't know where he was. Not that she cared really. Because she was a single mom, she had to work all.the.time. So I ended up cooking dinner for Rosie and I, cleaning the house on Saturdays, packing Rosie's lunch everyday, and other things that needed to get done. In many ways, it was almost as if I was the mom. Not that I minded. I loved taking care of Rosie. If Rosie wasn't around, I would probably just order pizza every night and not clean the house at all. The only time Mom was home, was on Sundays. And she spent the whole day catching up on sleep.
I was getting a new student today, so I cleaned the bathroom and employed Rosie to sweeping the living room and putting out some snacks and glasses of water. I had just gotten done closing the cabinet where we kept the cleaning supplies when the doorbell rang. I smoothed out my shirt before opening the door. I opened the door to see Dan in the doorway.
I sighed, "Dan, look. I'm flattered and all but I'm kind of waiting for someone at the moment-"
"A new student?" he asked, cutting me off mid-sentence, "Ya that's me." He took a flier out of his pocket. "I'm here to see...Ms. Jones for some tutoring in English." He looked up at me, a goofy grin on his face."
Fuck. I sighed, "Come on in." I shut the door behind him and showed him to the living room, where he put his bag down and started to get his English homework out.
"Sooooo...where's your mom?" he asked.
"At work," I said, taking the paper from him and examining it. Vocab. Easy. He'll be out of here in less than thirty minutes.
He looked confused, "Isn't she supposed to be tutor-" his eyes bulged as he understood, "You're my tutor!" I nodded and begrudgingly helped him with his homework.
An hour and five glasses of water later, his homework was done and I showed him out. Right before I closed the door, he turned around and kissed me on the cheek.
"Thanks," he said. I slapped him clear across the face. He put his hand to his cheek. "OUCH! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT-"
I slammed the door in his face and leaned against the door. I slowly slid down to the floor and cried.
...What did I just write? XD Hope you all enjoyed this blindly written chapter! There will be another chapter on The Program on Friday and a new chapter on here next Monday! So, until Friday, bye!
