Well, Lately I've been extremely busy with school and just found an extra hour to write/edit/publish chapter six! I hope you like it, and that you don't find it extremely cheesy :-)

                                                           CHAPTER SIX

"Hello, Miss McClure. I'm glad you could make a meeting with me. Would you like to sit down?" Mike asked me as he pulled a chair out from a rectangular glass desk.

Mike Looked like the very essence of A lawyer. He had brown hair, brown eyes, was freshly shaved, and around 5"9' in height. He seemed kind and friendly, yet his attitude was kept professional. He was probably in his mid-thirties, and had a bald spot beginning on the top of his head.

He had led me into a large office with inspiring pictures on the walls, to a glass desk facing two black leather chairs. The walls were a nice chocolate brown color, while the carpet was black and fuzzy. I suddenly had the urge to take my flip flops off and feel the carpet on my feet, but decided not to. Didn't want to look like a freak in front of the mature lawyer.

"Yes, I'd like to sit down." I replied taking a seat. "So, Mr.Shively, what is this all about a will from a Margaret Snow?" I prompted, hoping the awkward silence wouldn't be around for long.

"Well, Miss McClure, as you were informed of in our letter, your distant cousin Margaret has recently passed away from a heart attack. She has included you in her will. Now, have you brought a form of I.D?" He asked, motioning to my purse.

"Oh, yes, I have." I began searching through my bigger-on-the-inside bag, trying to find my wallet.

"Its in here somewhere, I'm sure. I threw it in on my way here..." I said, beginning to grab things out of the purse just to make it easier to look through it all.

"Ah! Here it is! Here you go." I said pulling my I.D out of my wallet and handing it to the awaiting man.

He looked at it and looked at some papers, and said "Looks like you're you. Now, Miss Margaret put in her will to leave any remaining money in her bank account to whatever remaining relatives she has. Which, would be you." He said motioning with his right hand to me.

"Miss Margaret had no other close relatives. Her husband died of a stroke three years ago, and her only son passed away in the marines thirty seven years ago, and she was an only child, so we eventually traced a few things back to you. Its a very long trail, but we have found that you are her closest living relative."

"Wow. Well, alrighty then.." I said, feeling a little awkward. "How much money has she left in her will? A few dozen dollars, or a couple hundred?" I said, not expecting much of anything.

"Actually, we looked into her bank account, and there is three-thousand, one hundred dollars. She spent most of it on health expenses before she died, so that is whats left." He replied calmly.

"Um....What?" I asked, shocked.

"I said that it was three-thousand-"

"I know what you said, but me and my best friend were planning on a trip to London and we worked out the cost and that's exactly what we needed! Oh my gosh! Do you realize how big this is?! I have to tell Melanie!" I said, jumping out of my seat to head for the door.

"Miss McClure, wait! You need to sign some papers and take the check!" He said, standing up and waving some papers around.

"Oh! Yes, yes, I completely forgot! I apologize, I got ahead of myself. I'm just so excited." I said, and threw in an apologetic smile. He looked a little confused, but laughed it off and said "I just need you to sign these papers here, and then you can leave."

I took the papers, skimmed the paragraph before the signature, and then signed.

"Thank you so much!" I said as he handed me the check.

"You're more than welcome, Miss McClure. Call us if you have any problems or questions." He said, as he walked me to the door and opened it for me.

"Ok! Sure thing!" I replied, probably a little too excited, because Mr.Shively just laughed at me as I walked/skipped out the door heading to my car. When I got into the car, I drove three MPH over the speed limit to get to my apartment faster. Luckily, It was only ten minutes away from the house, but the wait was horrible. When I pulled into our driveway, I nearly sprinted to the door which I smacked my face into thinking it would be unlocked.

"OW! MELANIE, OPEN THE DOOR RIGHT NOW!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, while banging on the door.

"WHATS THE PASS-WORD!!??" She yelled back.

"I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T OPEN IT NOW?!" I replied.

"Ooookkkk I'm ganna open it now." She said, sheepishly as she opened the door.

I burst through the door and just stared with wide eyes at her breathing heavily from sprinting a whole ten yards.

"Mel, I gotta tell you what this Margaret left me...Its amazing.." I breathed.

"What?! Tell me!"

"She left us money. A lot of money. Guess how much." I huffed.

"A MILLION GILLION?!" She yelled excitedly.

"NOPE, BUT ITS THE SECOND BEST...Mel...she left me THREE-THOUSAND, ONE-HUNDRED DOLLARS!" I yelled.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She responded, as we jumped around together and screamed at the top of our lungs waving out hands in the air.

"I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW!" I said, as loudly as I possibly could.

"I'M SO EXCITED!" Mel yelled back as she dashed around in a circle.

"THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR THIS AMAZING GIFT YOU'VE GIVEN US, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" I said with a smile on my face, spreading ear to ear as we danced happily, thinking and daydreaming of the fun we would have in England because of the gift God had given us.
