the feeling of acceptance

God, I am so sorry this update too so long. Anyway enjoy.

Niall slipped in to the booth, sitting by the window as Liam sat down next to him. Louis took the window and his and Liam's grandma sat on the outside of the booth.

"Alright, now I'm buying, you guys can get whatever you want." Liam said. He saw the other three about to protest but he just shook his head. "Nope, no one else is paying. I've got it okay?"

Niall just smiled and kissed Liam's cheek. "Thank you," He told his boyfriend.

"You're just trying to impress Niall." Louis stated. Liam rolled his eyes.

"That is actually true, but I know I don't have to do much to impress him." Liam confirmed.

Niall smiled. "That is very true too." He said. The waiter soon came up and took their drink orders.

"Niall, my dear. How did you meet Liam?" Mrs. Payne asked. Niall blushed at question and Liam scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. Louis just started laughing, obviously knowing what their embarrassment meant.

"We met at a club, grandma." Liam answered. "And Niall was my patient when he first came to the clinic, that's how I got to know him." Niall let out a breath, glad to see Mrs. Payne was quite happy with that answer.

"What do you do?" She asked the blonde.

"I'm still in school, Mrs. Payne." Niall replied, picking up the menu.

Liam's grandmother smiled. "Oh and what are you majoring?"

Niall looked away from the menu and up at the elderly woman. "Art, but specifically drawing. I love to do it and always have since I was little. I hope to be a professional artist one day and maybe illustrate for children's books."

Liam nodded. "You have to see some of his art. He brought his sketch book with him. He takes that thing everywhere. Niall's amazing." He added, an tone of admiration to his voice when he said the last sentence. Niall blushed at that, looking up and catching this love struck look in Liam's eyes. He couldn't help be smile.

"That's wonderful dear! I would love to see some of your work. I'm glad you're going for a degree in something you love." Mrs. Payne said with a smile.

"Thank you, ma'am." Niall said with a smile of his own. The waiter then came back with their drinks and everyone ordered what they wanted.

The next hour was spent with wonderful conversations. Liam loved how well Niall got along with these two members of his family. He spent a lot of the time just listening and smiling at Niall as he spoke and talked about himself. I made him happy to know two of the most important people in his life cared so much and accepted the other three most important people in his life, even if they didn't know it was three yet. If he was going to tell any of his family it was going to be these two.

After lunch they all decided to take a walk downtown. Niall wasn't sure if it was best for Liam's grandma to be doing that but she told him she was feeling better than ever and not to worry. Liam laughed and told his boyfriend that his grandma was very active and Niall couldn't help but smile at that.

Liam took Niall's hand as they walked side by side down the street, showing Niall all the cute shops around. "I really like this little town, it's cute." The blonde told Liam.

"It is. And very nice. Everyone here is so friendly. Which is why I'm surprised my mother hasn't moved yet. She loves the house too much apparently. She will drive forty-five minutes out of her way though to visit all the shopping centers in the city nearby." Liam explained.

"She seems like she would do that." Niall muttered in agreement.

"My brother and sister don't like this town either. But I still love it." He looked down at Niall. "Maybe one day we could live in a cozy house in a quaint town."

Niall smiled up at Liam. "I would like that someday." Liam leaned down and placed a kiss to Niall's lips before he looked back ahead again. "Even though there will be four of us, I kind of think your house is too big."

Liam nodded. "I agree with that. There's just something about having two little babies and a mansion that doesn't work." He chuckled.

"Do you think we should find something new soon?" He asked. "Because I don't want to decorate a nursery only for us to have to move and do it again. Besides, I don't think it'll be easy for us to move with two newborns."

"You make a good point. How about we check out some new houses when we get back?" Liam asked.

Niall nodded. "That sounds like a good idea." Liam smiled and squeezed Niall's hand. "Do you think we can head back though? I'm feeling a bit worn out?" The brunette nodded and told his grandma and Louis that they should head back home. The four of them walked back to the car and then drove back to the house.

The drive home was comfortable, with Niall getting to know Mrs. Payne and Louis better. Niall was quite happy there were at least two people that accepted him. Not only him but his relationship with Liam.

Liam's grandmother was one of the nicest people he had ever met. And Louis was hilarious and sassy, Niall felt very comfortable with him and could see just how close he was with Liam. The blonde was sure that if he was able to just be around the three of them his stay here would be a lot better. He hoped that he wouldn't run into any more trouble before the wedding.

Liam left Niall with Louis and his grandmother who were sitting on the porch looking at old photos. He wanted to grab something from his room to show the blonde, knowing he'd really like to see it. Both Louis and his grandmother had already seen this collection and so he decided that showing all of them wouldn't be a big deal. It was better than the embarrassing photos his grandmother was showing his boyfriend now.

Liam headed up the stairs to his room, opening the door without a second thought. He absentmindedly closed it behind him but he stopped a few steps in as he caught sight of the person sitting on his bed.

"It's been a while, hasn't it Liam?"

I'm sorry this update was so short. I couldn't think of much to put in the chapter. And as you can see, the ending tells you a little bit of what is about to happen in the next chapter. Now I have a question for guys. There is going to be drama. Should this drama involve Niall getting mad at Liam or should it just be normal drama? Tell me what I should do. Also let me know what you thought of this ridiculously short chapter.

 Also I wanted to let you guys know that my updates are going to be slow. I've started school again and even though I have only two classes they're going to be hard. I have to do a lot with using my free time (I work too so I don't have much free time) to observe children at preschools and do a number of activities with them. I won't be able to update as often as I used to be able to. I hope you guys understand.
