River's POV
I walked through the door to the band room. The door that's feels so familiar and welcoming.
Ramie ,my sister who's a senior this year,walked up behind me "Are you excited for your 1st rookie band camp day?" She screamed.
"Yes!" I exclaimed.
The truth is that I'm actually very terrified. I mean so many people look up to Ramie. She's a senior and the drum line section leader. I'm afraid I can't live up to her accomplishments and what she's brought to the band.
As I walk into the pit room/drum room I see a tall, skinny girl getting her drum pad with short blonde hair. It's Allison my best friend!
"Hey Allison!!! You idiot" I exclaimed jokingly.
"River! You doo doo head!" Allison joked back.
"Doo doo head really? What are we 3?" I asked
"I am at heart! Have you seen or met the new assistant director?" Allison asked.
River has not but the thought of someone new scared him. What would this person bring? Change? Our band program is fine the way it is.
"No and I'm not too sure about him." I said as I picked up my drum pad.
"Why?!? He's from Hay high!!! You know how good they are! And his daughter is my friend. She's really cool and very nice. I met her through church. She plays flute and will be a majorette next year. Her little brother plays drums. And she my friend so you'll probably be great friends with her too!" Allison said rambling on.
"Exactly she's your friend!" I yelled as we went into the main part of the band room as Mr.Prince had told us to so we could wait and meet the assistant when he got here. Maybe I'll meet his daughter and see how she is.
I hope she's nice because my girlfriend ,Sarena, will get super jealous if I start to hang out with another girl other than Allison. All though I'm starting to get tired of dealing with her. She always starts drama with Allison and she's super clingy. It was fun at 1st but now I'm not so sure. We've been dating for 8 or 9 months {don't tell her I don't know the exact time she'll freak} Maybe this new girl will be nice.
