Chapter Eight

Courtney's Point Of View

It was Saturday, which meant it was the day I do my favorite activity, nothing. I already made my musical.ly, and I was just scrolling through Twitter.

I saw that Abigail tweeted that her new video was out, so I decided to watch it. When I scrolled through the comments I saw the recommended videos. The new video Zach posted was one of those.

Eight and twenty seconds after I watched the egg roulette challenge with Abigail's sister in it, I texted her.

Hey bestie. Btw your video 👌🏼😂

I didn't wait for her reply and instead, I went back onto YouTube and watched the new video of Zach called, "Valentine Q&A"

The intro was of him, being weird and all up in the camera saying, "you got games on yo phone?"

"What's up guys. I asked you guys what you wanted to do. You said Valentine Question and Answers. AND THATS WHAT IM GOING TO DO, DUUDE."

I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"Do you have a valentine?" Zach read the tweet and started to reply. "Maybe."

I don't know why, but when he said that my heart sunk.

"Just kidding, did I scare you? I don't have Valentine." He laughed.

What was happening to me? My heart sunk when he said maybe, but when he said no, my heart rose and I let out a sigh that I didn't even know I was holding.

None of the questions affected me as much as that one, expect one. One of the last questions he answered was,

"Do you think Courtney is cute?"

When he read that tweet, a blush came upon my cheeks. I watched him stutter and scratch the back of his neck for a few seconds, while my heart pounded into my chest.

What the fuck is happening to me? This is not some stupid wattpad story.

"Eh since she was honest in nicks broadcast. I suppose I have to be too."

My throat closed up. It's not that I couldn't breathe, cause I could. But it was like I couldn't talk. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I couldn't stop listening.

"So, yeah. Courtney is pretty cute, to be honest. Oh shit she's going to watch this video and hate me."

I don't know why I laughed but I did. I knew that it wasn't funny, but I couldn't stop laughing at myself. Of how I was acting.

I was acting like a love sick school girl in those 1900 movies.

With that thought running into my mind, I finally realized what was happening to me.

I was hopelessly falling in love with my "internet" best friend.
