CHAPTER 5

Lisa was slightly wet. She had always loved rains, but unfortunately this time she did not. Ben had cheated her and the last episode with him was swirling in her mind.

Both of them were silent for half of the journey, but she couldn't stay quiet for long.

Not because she wanted to talk to Ryan but because she remembered something really important.

"Jack, can you tell me something?"

She was serious.

"Yes, what?"

"Who checks the company's mail?"

He knew why she was asking that.

"I check, but why are you asking that?"

"Generally. And by the way, what do you do of the irrelevant letters?"

"Meaning?"

"The ones which are posted by mistake?"

"Why would anyone post us a letter by mistake?"

"Becuase it is by mistake. Duh?"

"I have been in service to this company for so many years but I haven't seen any posted-by-mistake letter!" He laughed at her. What a clear lie.

"Okay!". She thought that she might have not posted it or it might have reached someone else. Anyway, It didn't matter now. Her chapter with Ben was over forever!

"Where should I drop you?" He asked her although he knew where she lived.

"24th street, Baskerville road"

They reached there within a few minutes and Ryan wondered that when would the day come when she would ask him to come inside her flat.

He dismissed his thought when he heard the car door being shut. She was already out of the car.

'WHAT THE HELL! she didn't even say goodbye?'

Next what he saw, was her flat door being shut. For a moment he was angry but then he realised that for her it was just a business meeting and nothing more than that and it didn't mean that she would be informal with him although she had done crazy stuff in the restaurant when she had seen Ben!

"What is the matter Lizard?" It was a her elder sister, Natalie. She was a melodramatic woman but good at heart and what was the most important thing? She adored her younger sister terribly and both of them understood each other well. She was also good looking and taller than her but there was no other match for Lisa. She was just so perfect.

"Nothing really, and what is up with that name?"Lisa replied with an awful snort.

"Ohh, I came up with that today only! There are two reasons for it although. First of all that is matches with your name, Lizzzza and lizzzzardd! and second, I get to see you as frequently as I see lizards. Hiding in creeks all the time! See for today only! You went out early in the morning and now you have come back sooooooooo late. Where were you?" She sounded curious, angry and funny, all together.

"I got the job." replied Lisa with a not-so-excited look.

"What is wrong? You seem as if you have been appointed as the Prime minister, and now all the political burden is on your shoulders!"

Her words didn't make much sense all the time.

"Come here and look at yourself and you will understand why I am saying this!" she dragged Lisa to the bathroom mirror.
