"Maria, you don't need to knock you know. Giaus think you as one of his own." He chuckled turning the door nob.
"I was only being polite." I mumbled blushing.
"Giaus!" Merlin said as soon as he burst through the door. The wooden benches held all kinds of strange powders and potions, most of which I didn't know the name of. Camelot's physician, an old and grey man turned from his smouldering antidote of some kind. He placed a rod in it and said, "Merlin, this better be something good. I may have found a cure for that nasty bug that's been going roun-"
"Gaius, It's more important than that!" I said, a little harsh. "Oh, my goodness, I am sorry Giaus but we need your expertise. Merlin? Tell him..." I said looking at my feet.
"Maria my dear, It's fine. Sit down and tell me all about it."
After telling the old man about Merlin's senses and my dreams, he was pacing his bookshelves trying to find a specific book. He kept mumbling, "It's got to be here" or "I'll find it". I started to get worried until he pulled out a very, very old book. It was leather bound with buckles on it. He then produced a key from around his neck and turned it in the lock with a satisfying clunk. He then proceeded to flip to a specific page. Merlin gave me a reassuring smile, but I could tell he was about as uneasy as me.
"Aha!" Giaus proclaimed, stabbing a withered finger at the book. "What have you found?" I asked peering over his shoulder. "Merlin," He asked. "What exactly did the presence feel like to you?"
Merlin looked almost pained at the memory. "Sorrow. Darkness. Cold. Just plain... evil."
Giaus muttered something under his breath before flipping to another page. It was labelled TROLLS in a fine, delicate script. There were various pictures of the familiar creatures that had visited me in my dreams so many times. Cave trolls, mountain trolls, valley trolls, sand trolls. There were so many of them. "I fear," He said. "That this sorceress, is the most dangerous of them all. I fear, he is uniting all the species into one large colony. The Warlock of the Trolls"
