I walked to the viewing area after a long night. it had been three days since the quest and a grand fey had been held in victory. it was fun all in all, but all I wanted was a proper bed to sleep.

Morgana turned out fine after given a draft from Giaus, although he wouldn't stop apologising, even though she had no control over herself whatsoever. She took Uther's death very hard, but se was recovering quickly.

The entire city of Camelot demanded to know what he'd happened, so Arthur told them the truth to put their mind at ease. They were pleased to have an honest king ad respected him for it.

So everything was great. Giaus had cleansed my injuries and made them disappear with creams an herbs, although the scar from my arrow still remained. but I didn't mind. it was a reminder.

I made my way to the viewing area, the material of the purple dress I owe hanging lazily from my hips and a gold circlet on my head. The viewing area was my favourite pale to think. it was peaceful and quiet and - as the name states- you get a breathtaking view.

I opened the doors to it and seen a figure sitting on the wall, looking out over Camelot.

Merlin.

"A bit late for out here, don't you think?" I asked, sarcasm tinging my voice. Merlin turned at the sudden break if sielence and grinned motioning for me to sit down. "I was just thinking about you ." he said with a smile. I raised an eyebrow. "really? and why is that?" I asked giggling. He chuckled as he produced a small leather pouch. "Because I wanted to give you something." he said, handing me the pouch. I cooed at him jokingly and told him off for giving me a present, as I didn't need it. But he persisted.

I untied the fastening of the pouch and peered tentivley inside. I gasped as I pulled out a locket, with Merlin's diamond ever so delicately carved into a perfect heart, and placed in the middle of the silver locket."It's beautiful Merlin! But are you sure-"

"Don't argue Maria. Honestly. I don't treasure jewels like I treaure your smile." I blushed at this, but he only laughed, as he took the chain from my fumbling hands and slipped it over my head. "It looks beautiful, Maria. You're beautiful..." He trailed off to a murmur, his eyes light and lustful, as I were sure mine were too. There was only a small gap between us, which Merlin soon closed. He pressed his lips to mine and kissed me with passion and love, as I did back. He eventually stopped and grinned at me. "Did you feel them?" he asked, smiling. the moon shone in the darkness as the moonlight washed over our faces. I looked at him adoringly. "Yes," I whispered. "Sparks."
