A/N: Again, something a bit different for my " one moment in time."
The greatest of thanks to Becky for Beta reading and understanding
my crazy ideas. It takes a lot of patience sometimes!
Thank you so much for reading and I hope that you enjoy it! :)

A boy lay on a rooftop; a girl lay by his side.
Stars filled the night sky, a beacon of hope for the future, shining brightly.
They did not need to speak, the stars spoke for them.
The boy took out his phone and placed it by his side and a song began to play.

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own,

A hand moved slightly and a fingertip brushed against soft, delicate skin.

We don't need
anything
or anyone

The touch increased, as words softly filled the air.
Their resonance drifting like offerings towards the stars above.
The boy whispered the next lines; his fingertips moving in unison with his words.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

He then tilted his body slightly to gaze upon the girl.
Taking in her form, as they lay beneath the blanket of stars;
His breath faintly outlining his words, as they disappeared in the night air.

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

Rough calloused fingers found their way to touch a soft neck.
They embraced their destination, like a long lost lover.
A sigh escaped the lips of the girl as she closed her eyes.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Turning to face her, the boy slipped his arm under her head.
Slowly the girl moved until she found home.
His heart beat a steady rhythm, as she rested her hand upon his chest.

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

He gently caressed her hair, silken and smooth.
She re-affirmed the words with her touch, which had reached his shoulder, as he still sang to her in a whisper.
The words were not lost on her, their vow a truth she recognised.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

The girl's hand glided around his neck.
The need to be closer, ignited within her.
She needed his touch as much as he needed hers.

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

She opened her eyes and lifted her head from his chest to look into his eyes.
The words of the song flowed from her lips, with truth and honesty.
She looked into perfect eyes that held everything that she had ever wanted.
Slowly she whispered with him, the last words of the song.

Just know that these things will never change for us at all

The last lines of the song were now a memory, as they looked into each other's eyes.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Without hesitation, they moved just enough; their lips touching as the night sky shone above them.
The boy sighed and broke the kiss. "I have to tell you something..."
The girl placed a gentle kiss on his lips, "I know, you're words have told me everything, that I could only dream of, before tonight."

"I love you, North, and I know that you love me. At this moment in time, this is perfect, we are perfect. I don't want this night to end. It will, just as the sun will rise. So, yes, North, we will lie here and forget the world. Until the night ends and dawn comes, it is just you and me. The only place that I want to be."

Before she kissed him once more, words were whispered and a voice quivered, "I love you, Sang. Forever."
