When you entered homeroom, you sit next to Sakuya, who ignored you and everyone else. You pay attention Mr. Nanaki the whole lesson and wait for the bell to ring. And it does after long waiting.
" That's all for today. Stay safe, everyone.", He says turning back to the class away from the board.
"Yaaay!", Hiyoko exclaims, throwing her arms in the air.
You turn to her as she looks at Ryouta's empty desk, "Huh? Sir, where's Ryouta?", she asks.
Mr. Nanaki turns to her, " He said he was going to the infirmary. Maybe you should go and see if he's still there?"
Hiyoko nods and turns to you, "Hey, (Y/n) do you wanna come?"
You nod and follow her out the class, " Now that I think about it, Ryouta always did have a weak stomach.", she mumbles as she leads the way to the infirmary.
You follow her down the halls and she opens a door the labled 'Infirmary'. You both enter and you notice that nobody was in there.
"Excuse me...", Hiyoko stops barely noticing the empty room." ..... Nobirdie's here? There's no one sleeping behind the curtains..", she says looking behind the curtains of the beds.
"Isn't the doctor supposed to be in here?", you ask, stepping near the desk that looks like it's the doctors desk, but you were careful not to touch anything.
"My hunter-gatherer instincts feel no presence. There's no birdie here...Ryouta?", she says out loud.
No reply. The infirmary is empty.
"Weird! Did he go home already?...I feel a little nervous poking around the empty room....", Hiyoko says and you shrug.
"Now that I think of it, I haven't been in here much before. Unlike Ryouta, I'm perfectly healthy...", she states.
You look around and go to the cabinet that holds all kinds of medicines...or it could be something else...? Why would the school Doctor need all these? Was he even allowed to give anything out to a student?
Hiyoko comes next to you, "Woah!"
"What?", you ask confused.
"They've got all kinds of drugs in here! Ethylpar, tri-fe, lucio benzene...what do these even do?",She asks while staring at the cabinet.
"Who knows? Maybe you can ask the doctor... when he gets here that is...", you mumbled the last part.
"Care to find out?", a deep voice ask, startled you stumble back and bump into someone. You feel hands on your shoulders to steady you.
"D -d -d -d -d -doctor!?", Hiyoko exclaims, you look up and see the supposed doctor. You gasp when you meet his purple eyes.
"I'll feed you all sorts of things, if you want. Hmmm?", He says-creepily but for some reason you find his voice sexy- looking down at you and shifting his gaze for a second at Hiyoko before going back to you and you notice a fat scary looking bird on his shoulder- who is also staring at you two.
You stumble out of his arms and hide behind Hiyoko- as if to say 'Take her! Not me!'
"No thank you, doctor!", you smile nervously, Hiyoko nods rapidly.
He smirks, "You two don't look like you have a good reason to be in here. Did you need something?"
You shake your head while Hiyoko nods, " Umm, I heard Ryouta Kawara from 2-3 was suppose to be here...", 'Oh. that's right..Ryouta...'
The doctor glances at his desk and answers,"Him? He's already gone.", he answers, already sounding uninterested in the conversation and he puts the bird gently on the desk.
"...oh.", Hiyoko says awkwardly and mumbles to you, "Why didn't he come find me before going home? I wanted to introduce you to him..."
Then she looks back up at the doctor, who is sitting at his desk, staring intently at you two. "S-sorry to bother you! We'll be going now!" she turns to you and shoves you out the door before the doctor can say anything.
"Aaah! Finally out of that den of evil! ", She sighs in relief.
You look at her, "What do you mean? What's his name?"
"Oh that's right! You don't know! He's Iwamine Shuu, the school doctor. He's rather creepy in person, and has a bad reputation among the student body. Everybirdie knows that even just talking to him can bring you down with aspergillus, psittacosis, or even worse things.", she leads you away from the infirmary door and walks down the long hall way. "And I never even heard him come in the door...ninja doctor!?"
You laugh at the ' ninja doctor ' part and decide that if you ever see him again you would call him that.
"Hmm, Ryouta's already gone home...what to do now?", Hiyoko mutters to herself, "Oh! I never got around to joing a club last year, do you want to join one?", she asks and you nod.
" I think there are clubs for baseball, soccer, track, kendo, migration, and bird watching...Wasn't there another one...? Anyway, we should start with the track team, if you want."
"Uh yea sure, I love running.", you say and it sounds sarcastic but Hiyoko don't notice.
"Okay! Cool, I ran in middle school so I love running too~!", she grabs your hand and drags you as you stumble-again! which was starting to annoy you but you stay quiet.
Running down many halls and running down many stairs, Hiyoko mumbles ,sorta out of breath ," I think the clubroom is on the ground floor, off to the side..."
