        T H E F U N E R A L

"Today, we are gathered to forgive and remember the presence of Violet Markey." The priests voice boomed, breaking the silence in the church. Soft cries followed his words. "She was a young, happy girl. She had a life to look forwards too. Please, speeches shall be heard." James' hand shot up, and he instantly stood up on the stool, a solemn and sad look on his face. "I am sorry Violet, for killing you each day. I am sorry. You were beautiful, you were too young.. too young." He choked on tears before sitting down and burying his face in his hands. Sarah took his place, her red eyes standing out broadly. "I shalt not forgive the sadness which made her commit suicide, and I shalt not forgive myself for not realising how much my little girl needed me. She will always be in my heart, always be in yours. She should've spoken up.." Sarah sat down on the wooden bench, looking down as the priests gaze searched for more volunteers, resulting to none. He coughed slowly. "Violet Elizabeth Markey will forever be remembered, loved and prayed upon. The scattering of her beloved ashes will be tomorrow. Thank you."

As everyone exited silently, more and more flowers were lay next to her coffin. A picture of her beautiful blonde curls and blue eyes stood ontop of a table, assisting the coffin. Everyone left apart from James, who ran up to the coffin and fell to his knees. "Why? why Violet? Why? WHY WAS I SUCH AN IDIOT? Please forgive me, forgive me! Please, come back Violet!" Tears stained the plastered coffin as he slammed his fists onto the floor. "Violet, I - I don't wanna make this Romeo and Juliet, and kill myself, but believe me I wish I could. But I will live, for both of us.. Both of us together. Violet, I love you. I wish you knew that now."
