Dear General Washington,
I'm writing you in regards of Alexander Hamilton. I am Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, his wife . I need you to send Alexander home . I understand the war is not over . But Alexander will be back in 10 months . I am with child . And I do believe it is Alexander's right as my husband and father to meet his child . I am due in January. The Schuyler family is willing to give your troops 200 dollars if you send him home just long enough to meet his child .
Please send my husband home , I know you get letters every day from wives begging you send their husbands home but this time can please make an exception? For me ? For our soon to be child ? For Alexander?
