1. What piece of writing are you primarily focused on at this time?
1)
Lost Early it is my first work.
2. What inspires you to write this story?
2)
When I first started writing it, there was no plan and I didn't ever think that I would actually continue to write any more. As it turns out that first part was only the prologue. After that the story is just in my head and it is constantly evolving. I know how it is going to end, but when I sit down to write the next part in getting there, I am the one drawn in. With every sentence, I am imagining more little details and background stories. Maybe what best describes what makes me want to write are these lyrics from 2 AM by Anna Nalick: "2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song
If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me,
Threatening the life it belongs to
And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd
Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud
And I know that you'll use them, however you want to".
I get this feeling that I just have to write more because their story isn't finished yet. My characters are constantly hanging in limbo just waiting for me to complete them, to tell their story and decide what they become. I write to get the story out of my head.
3. What do you enjoy most about writing? What keeps you writing more?
3)
What I most enjoy about writing is the ability to create. You can make anything you wanted possible. I write more so that I can keep creating. If I stop then that is all that story will ever be. I won't be satisfied enough to stop writing until I feel that all of the loose ends are tied up.
4. What genre(s) do you classify your work?
4)
Mystery / Thriller and Historical Fiction.
5. How long have you been writing?
5)
I started this story several months ago with just the first part on a whim. Eventually, I just couldn't let it go and so I began to seriously write a few weeks ago. I had been reading different stories on wattpad for quite a while before that, so I decided to post my story.
6. What makes your writing different?
6)
Most of the comments I get on my story are on how my writing style is unique. Currently I am writing from a third person omniscient point of view. I also get comments on how generous I am in my descriptions. I never directly state the setting but yet I have been told by someone who read it that they could feel the atmosphere I was creating. I try to bring emotion to my readers. In many ways I am vague, but I personally find that a little mystery can actually do a story good. For one quirky fact about my writing style, as of yet, I have not had any dialog in my story.
