MikiLi:
1. What piece of work are you most focused on?
1)
Currently, A Time Unwritten.
It's a story set in two completely different eras, and I integrate themes such as time travel, it's mostly science fiction, but I have it marked Fantasy for a good reason. Mostly, it's because the Science Fiction themes work as magic, in the sense that magic was created by technology. Does that make sense?
And then the people of the twenty-first complain about how their technology is inferior (not really, but it would seem like she would)
2. Who or what inspired you to write this story?
2)
Well, I was looking at a couple different unique genres, when I came across one called 'magitech'(also spelled 'magitek'). I thought it sounded interesting, so I decided to read into it. The first book that I read of the genre was Elemental by Geoffrey Landis, and I really liked the idea of Magic being a form of Science.
As for my writing style that I wanted to test out in this book, I just had to try the one displayed in the amazing book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
3. How long have you been writing stories?
3)
Actually, not that long. I think around three years now, but I didn't start really writing seriously until 7th grade, when I did my first year of NaNoWriMo (I'm going into 9th right now).
4. What keeps you writing? Why do you write?
4)
Well, honestly at this stage in life, it's more to improve my writing. I struggled with it a lot when I was younger and since Seventh grade, I've really just wanted to improve. Of course, I have developed a liking to it, but from my current standpoint, I'm probably going to only write fiction like this for fun.
5.What's your fav word and why? (if not one, top three)
5)
Plethora. I don't know, I just like using it a lot........
6. What character from any story would you most want to meet and why?
6)
Oh man, this is really hard for me. Either Clarissa Fray from The Mortal Instruments because I'd like to talk about shadowhunting and stuff, or the narrator from The Book Thief (not trying to spoil anything) because that'd just be awesome.
