Joseph woke up in a white place. It looked as dull and lifeless as a waiting room. He didn't remember coming to a place with a waiting room...

Suddenly a door that the linguist hadn't noticed before opened. In walked a man with red eyes and chin-length yellow hair. The man smiled, revealing a set of razor sharp teeth. Joseph naturally backed up. "W-where am I... Who are you?"

The man smiled and bowed graciously, a knowing smile still plastered on his face. "Luvart, at your service." His smile widened into a smirk at Joseph's blank look. "...And welcome to Hell."

"What do you mean Hell?" Said Joseph, a hint of fear making his voice crack.

"I mean that you are dead, and now your soul is here." The demon Luvart smiled, moving his head to the side, "For eternity. Now, the big man himself wants to talk to you."

"Dead?! How the fuck did I die?! When did I die?! to prostě nemůže být! I'm not dead, I feel perfectly fine!"

Luvart looked at him harshly. "You're dead. Does it really matter beyond that?"

Joseph felt cold, a numbness was settling in his veins. "I... I guess...not...." Then his eyes widened in realization. "What did you mean by 'big man'? Did you mean Lucifer?"

The yellow haired demon scoffed, saying nothing as he opened the door. As they began down an extravagant hallway, Luvart spoke. "Lucifer is not the big guy. He's just the face of eternal torment." Luvart laughed. "No, you're seeing the ruler of Hell. The guy who pulls all the strings."

The demon stopped before a door, grand looking and carved of a black-stained wood.

"You see, you're meeting Memphos."

The demon then opened the door, revealing a room that had a stone floor, high ceiling and velvet wallpaper. Near the door was a table with cushy chairs and a tea set, while further back was a giant bed with curtains in the themes of purple and black. Oddly enough, opposite the Victorian-style bed was a flatscreen TV. To the right of that was an elegant dresser and some side tables with lamps and whatnot.

The whole room reeked of money, power and elegance.

Joseph gulped, not wanting to enter the room. Luvart scoffed, then rolled his eyes and began dragging the linguist into the room, then pushed Joseph down into one of the chairs.

A door that Joseph had not noticed before opened across from the one used by him and Luvart.

From within that door walked another demon.

The demon wore a black suit, with his fiery red hair slicked back into a retro '50's style. He was obviously well built, but at the same time he was lean and had an almost feline grace. The demon's eyes were a burning shade of gold, flecked with reds and orange. He walked with a knowing grace, and gave off an aurora of power in his wake.

The demon made his way towards Joseph, shooing away Luvart with a flick of his wrist.

His eyes never left Joseph's face, a light smile of almost triumph marking the demon's smooth features.

The demon sat in the chair across from Joseph, easily gliding into the violet cushions.

He seemed to study Joseph for a minute before choosing to speak.

"Do you know why you are here?"

Joseph looked around nervously, not willing to make eye contact with the new demon.

The demon leaned forward, picking up a cup of tea off the center table. Steam began to rise from the cup as it sat in the demon's hand. He sat back, waiting for Joseph to speak with his ever-appraising eyes.

Joseph continued his silence. Things were just getting too weird. He couldn't be dead.

No, Joseph felt very, very alive.

And very, very scared.

Finally the demon gave an annoyed sigh and put his tea down. "Well, human, are you going to speak or must I make you?"

Something from the look in the demon's eye made Joseph feel as though he'd better not annoy him anymore. "So y-you're Memphos...?"

"Yes."

"Um.. Why am I here?"

Memphos chuckled. "Because."

"Wait that's not a fair answer! You just asked me if I wanted to know why."

"Well, human, I was curious."

"Well I am too." Said Joseph, jutting out his chin with a defiant stare.

Memphos glared over the rim of his drink. "Are you getting smart with me, human?"

Joseph gulped, adverting his eyes again, all rebellious nature in him immediately squashed. "No..."

"Good." Memphos abruptly put his cup down and was on his feet, brushing off imaginary dust from his already immaculate suit. "Now onto business." The demon gave Joseph a smile that sent chills down his spine.

"What do you mean by tha-" Joseph's words were cut off as the demon shoved the linguist down into the chair and pulled his shirt up while pinning Joseph down. "What the fuck?! Get off!!"

Memphos ignored Joseph and instead leaned down and bit the linguist's hip.

At first Joseph felt a stinging then suddenly a burning pain laced through his veins, making his mind go numb as his body went limp. Everything was too much, the lights too bright, the air too crisp, the weight of the demon holding him down. Joseph's senses became blurred and bursting, becoming too much for the wryly linguist to take. Before he knew it, Joseph felt everything go black.

Aziz felt power surging through his arm, traveling up to the limp body of the linguist. His chanting grow louder and less coherent until the room began to echo with it, reverberating as though a thousand voices were speaking in a thousand tongues.

A light blue symbol began to glow up Joseph's forehead, a matching one growing upon his chest. Aziz's eyes flickered then went black as a light blue light began to course through the afrit's veins, glowing under the already shimmering skin.

Pound began to resound upon the doors as the other worldly creatures sought entrance, but Aziz was too consumed with the chanting to notice.

The pounding reverberated around the walls as Aziz let out an inhuman screech, sending a blinding blue light shooting up around him and the linguist. the motel was engulfed in a blinding flash, the dust hanging lightly in the arid night air.
