Niome awoke with a gasp for breath, her heart raced. Where was she??

Her head began spinning as she replayed Blu's final breaths. A thunk, warmth, and then gone...

"No! It's MY turn, Zec!" a voice screamed. A hissing sound came from behind the door.

It brought Niome back to her sences. Where was she. Looking around, she finds herself sitting up on a small straw mat. A single, thin torn blanket lay across her. The room was dark. Not a single window. The only exit was a thick steal door where the voices had come from.

Niome shivered as she thought of what could be out side.

Once more, she was pulled from her thoughts as a creak from the unoiled hinged door told that someone was entering.

A small, lean figure walked in. White fur covered its body. A set or gnarly horns set atop its head, six points a side. Ruby red eyes stared at her, and a snear crept upon its face showing its oversized front teeth.

"Well hello there sunshine," the voice was soft, but sent the hairs on the back of Niome's neck standing, "I see you slept well?"

The figure walked further into the room. Its red eyes stared at her as if expecting her to do something. It cleared its throat and began tapping its large foot.

Niome began fiddleing with her fluffy tail and spoke softly, "Yes, i umm slept... well."

Niome couldn't figure out why this person seemed to make her so nervous. She dared look up into the ruby red eyes of the creature standing before her.

It began thumping its foot impatiently, and the long floppy ears that hung lazily at the sides of its head began swaying.

"What?!" Niome snapped suddenly. It surprised her, for she jumped at the sudden push.

It smiled and waved a finger naughtily at her, "I was waiting for a greeting. My names is Pamell. Now, your turn."

"Hello," she paused to think, "Pamell-"

"Is THAT how you talk to people?!" Pamell snarled.

Niome hung her head in shame. This was embracing. Usually she was the one that left people tounge tied. What was with this women??

"Now. Try again," Pamell sounded bored.

"Hello, Pamell. How are you this morning," Niome asked her voice strong. She ended it with a small bow of the head.

Pamell smiled. Her red eyes lit up it what seemed like happyness, but Niome knew better. That was just the cover up.

She looked deep into Pamells eyes. There was great hatred.

"Dieome would like to see you," a voice called from outside the steel door.

Niome looked around flustered. Dieome? This couldn't be good.
