The visit

Dani's POV

Finally my weekend without Eric is over, he came home about an hour ago and we are peacefully cuddling in my bed, it feels nice sleeping in on a Monday morning.

Eric: what's going on in that beautiful mind of yours? You a seem so far away

I was just thinking about us

Eric: good thoughts I hope

Oh they were great thoughts. You know my parents will be here any minute and your naked in my bed, it's not the ideal way to meet them

Eric: I thought you liked me naked

There's something I need to talk to you about before they get here, Eric its really important

Eric: I figured there was something, you've been acting weird for the past few weeks. Dani you can tell me anything, no matter what it is

I reached into my drawer and handed him a positive pregnancy test. The biggest smile appeared across his face as he pulled me in for a hug

Eric: we're pregnant, Dani you have no idea how happy I am

Really? I thought since your already about to be a dad this would complicate things. We didn't exactly plan this

Eric: why wouldn't I be happy? Dani don't you know how much I love you? I'm going to love our baby just the same. Our baby, wow. Do you know how far along you are?

About a month, when I missed my period I knew something was off

Eric: so in four months I'm going to have a son and in eight months we'll have our little guy or girl

Yes, that's about right.

Eric: you look so happy, I like it

You make me happy. These past few months have been the best I've ever had and now you're the reason I'm going to be a mom. I love you so much

Eric: I love you too. I'm going to get dressed before your parents get here

Good idea

He gave me a kiss before heading into the shower. I was so happy to know that he's just as excited as I am. I laid in bed deep in thought until the doorbell rang.I went down to open the door and in front of me stood my parents. Their divorced, but their still friends so they get along well. I let them in and we sat together on my sofa talking until Eric came in

Mom, dad you know Eric. Eric these are my parents Moisés and Katharina. They'll be staying with us for a while

Eric: it's nice to meet you both

We all sat and talked for a while, things were going great. My parents really seemed to like eric which was comforting. I think it's too early on for me to mention the fact that I'm pregnant, we need to give it a little time. i was completely taken off guard when dad asked Eric "what are your intensions towards my daughter?"

Eric: well Dani's an amazing woman and I love her, I honestly see us having a future together. She's definitely marriage material and the whole reason I decided to move here and stabilize my career is so I can have a family. She's definitely my future

Both of my parents seemed very pleased with his answer and so was I. Eric changed the way his life was just so he could have a family and I respect that, I picked a really great guy and I'm happy that we'll have our own little family soon enough

Katharina: dani you look very happy and I love seeing my baby happy. If he makes you happy then how can we not love him?

I'm glad because he does make me happy and I can definitely see a future for us. I really do love him

Katharina: I'm glad, your obviously happy and it's nice,

I have dinner reservations for us tonight, we can all go out for a nice dinner and this whole thing was last minute, so maybe weic ytou can invite your parents so everyone can meet up. My parents aren't always around

Eric: no, I get it. I'll call my mom and arrange everything so they can meet up. We can make it a family gathering like we had last Friday

That would be great. You go do that while I spend some time with mom and dad. I'll see you later tonight

Eric: ok, bye babe

Eric left out and I spent the day with my parents. Around seven thirty we all started getting dressed for dinner and headed out to the restaurant where we met up with the Olsen family. After introductions we all ordered and sat to enjoy dinner together

Jeanne: Daniela I know you said that this is your favorite wine so I decided to look for a bottle. It was hard to find but here it is

She poured me a glass and handed it over to me. I took it and set it beside my food earning a "you better not drink that" look from Eric which made smile at his concern. She went through all the trouble of finding my favorite wine, so I didn't want to be rude even though I have no plans on drinking it, hopefully she won't notice.

During dinner everything was going great, everyone got along very well and I thought eric and I were in the all clear until his mother asked if she didn't get the right wine why I haven't tried it yet

It's the right brand and I appreciate you finding it for me, that was very sweet of you

Jeanne: I was just wondering because you haven't had one sip of it

Eric: she prefers to drink after dinner which I hadn't realize was right now, dani I'm not helping am I?

Not even a little bit. There's something we need to share, we wanted to wait a while but I guess not. I haven't had any of the wine because I recently found out that I'm pregnant.

Everyone was surprised at the announcement, but delighted which brought comfort to me. I'm happy that everyone can share in the excitement. Eric and I are truly happy to be bringing a new life into the world. My day couldn't get any better
