Surprise Arrival

Dani's POV

Eric and I returned home from Portugal a week ago after spending a month visiting my family Eric invited some of the cast over to meet baby Wyatt in person for the first time which he's very excited for and Sarah joined us.

Renée: where did Eric go off to?

Sarah: he and David went to the store around the corner, they should be back soon. The guys are barbecuing out back and needed some supplies. Dani I think your belly dropped, it tends to happen right before the baby comes

You think, because also my panties are kinda wet

Sarah: dani I think your water broke, maybe you should call the doctor

Okay

Sarah and Renée went along with me to the bathroom and stood outside as I sat there in complete denial because it's three weeks early. I know I didn't have any pads because I didn't need them so I asked sarah to call Eric while he's at the store

Sarah: dani what is it that you need?

She stood talking to me from outside of the bathroom and I said "I need some pads, heavy flow pads" I heard her and tell Eric what to get me and she started saying to him "no Eric those are two distinctly different things" so I'm sitting there asking "what is he saying?"

Sarah: he thinks tampons and pads are the same thing, don't worry, he'll bring the right thing

After her call with Eric I called the doctor and she confirmed that my water broke and I waited for Eric to bring my pads. While waiting I took a shower to clean myself up and he handed me the bag with the heavy flow pads to protect myself with and I walked out of the bathroom in no kind of pain or distress, still in denial a little bit

Eric: are you ready for this?

Your son decided that he's coming at his own time, but that's okay. I'm ready to meet my baby

Renée: oh, have you thought of names yet? Deric would be cute and your fans would die

His name won't be deric even though it is pretty cute. Maybe the next one

Eric: I see a house full of kids in our future

Oh definitely, but let's focus on this little man here

Renée: call us when he come

Eric: I will be sure to do that. David you guys can stay and enjoy the barbecue without us. Hopefully little man won't take too long to get here

Eric's POV

I drove Dani to the hospital where we checked in and went straight up to the delivery room. dani decided to get the epidural injection to numb the pain of the contractions that started up rather quickly. I sat beside her holding her hand through it all

Dani: Eric I'm tired, so this baby needs to come now. We've been here all day long

I know your tired baby, he'll be here soon

Dani: it's frustrating Eric, it's been hours and nothing's happening other than really irritating contractions. I want to get out of this bed already. Why are you smiling? now is not the time for you to be smiling when I'm frustrated

You have no idea how adorable you are when your like this, I know you want to meet him but it takes time  and I know your frustrated so feel free to take it all out on me if it will make you feel better

Dani: It won't, I just needed to vent a little. 

We spent another two hours waiting for dani to be dilated enough to stat pushing and she was happy when it finally came time. The epidural helped the pain and it wasn't long until the sound of my son's screams filled the room. She was at her happiest when she held him for the first time and it was such a beautiful sight. They took the little guy to be cleaned up while they did the same with dani, once we got him back she cradled him in her arms as he looked up at her

Dani: He's so beautiful, this was worth the wait

Yeah, it definitely was. He's absolutely perfect and definitely looks like his dad

Dani: you think so, I'm no seeing it but okay

It's pretty obvious,  now you need to rest while I spend some one on one time with my son. Your tired so sleep for a while

Dani: I'm fine Eric, and River is so perfect I just never want to let go of this and this is all because of you. I love him so much already and I love you

We love you too

I sat beside her on the bed and held my son in my arms, It was absolutely perfect. Their my little bit of perfect. Daniela, Wyatt and now River are all that makes me happy in the world. I've got two beautiful baby boys and one very beautiful fiance. It's everything i've ever wanted 

After a couple of days in the hospital dani and I were able to take our son home and we had a few guests waiting to meet baby River. It was dani's surprise so when I opened the front door she was greeted by her parents 

Dani: Eric did you do all this?

I know you wanted your parents to be here so I made it happen for you and of course my parents and brother were dying to meet him and the cast. I made it a family affair

Dani: that was really sweet of you, I love this. It's perfect

David: He's very adorable and he really does look a lot like his dad, can I hold him?

Dani: sure, I need to put his things away anyways.

She handed baby river over to my brother who seems to have been having a good time with his little nephew and Dani was surely enjoying the fact that it wasn't just my family or her family. I brought our family together for her and she couldn't be happier

Dani: Eric the boys are headed out back, are you going to join them?

Sure, but I'm taking my boys with me. David already has river so come on Wyatt

Dani: I can already see you having our child so attached to you just like this one

If course, it will always be that way so you should get used to it now

I picked up Wyatt and we headed out back, the day was spent with us hanging out with family. When they left it was down to us and Dani's parents. Dani was spread out on the couch asleep and her mom had River in her arms. I picked dani up and carried her into our bedroom where I covered her with the blanket as she slept peacefully. I know she had to have been tired because she barely slept in the hospital
