Annalee's POV

Preston continued to beg me to tell him what Lachlan and Kayla did during their time in heaven. "Preston, it's none of your beeswax." I scold, crossing my arms.

He sighs, running a hand through his hair and my eyes follow the motion. We've only been in the room for about two or three minutes.

"What's your favorite quote?" I randomly ask, clasping my hands together and setting them in my lap.

"'No one has ever become poor from giving.' Anne Frank. What about you?" Preston answers, looking at me. I have to bite my lip in thought, twiddling my thumbs.

"I have quite a few. 'We fall in love with people we can't have.' Unknown to me. 'Everything is nothing without you.' Again, unknown to me. 'I fell in love with you on a bleak, rainy day because you pointed to the sun when all I saw were dark clouds.' A.L Nash. 'Do whatever you have to do to be happy.' Dan Howell. And last one. 'It's okay to not be okay.' Mark Fischbach. Those are just a few of my favorite quotes." I say, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

It's silent for a few moments. "Those are...really inspirational. More so than mine." He chuckles. I look up, seeing him rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, I do love inspirational things." I say softly, smiling. He smiles back at me and suddenly he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "Sorry, I just noticed that it was going to get in front of your vision." He apologizes, blushing slightly in embarrassment. "It's fine. I don't mind. Rob does that all the time." I say gently, smiling at him in encouragement.

"TIMES UP!!" Mitch screams from outside the door and I jump. I stand up and brush off little bits of hair off my black skinny jeans. Preston stands up too and before he gets anywhere, I give him a kiss on the cheek. A blush immediately forms on his cheeks and I giggle, skipping out of the room. Affection is my forte after all.

I sit down next to Rob who gives me a strange look, seeing Preston absolutely red. "What? I just kissed his cheek. It's not that big of a deal." I murmur to my brother, crossing my arms and looking around the room. Anywhere but my brother and Preston.

My eyes zero in on Mitch and a smirk grows on my features. "Mitch; truth, dare, or heaven?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. He scoffs. "Dare, obviously. Seriously Annie, I though you knew me better!" He laughs. Oh and I knew him, he was getting overconfident that I'd give him an easy dare. Nope.

"If Preston has any eggs in his fridge, I dare you to break them all over your head but you must also dance like Elvis Priestly without spilling the eggs for two minutes." I say, leaning against the couch and it goes very quiet. I'm a force to be reckoned with.

Mitch is just speechless at the seemingly impossible dare I just gave him. I raise an eyebrow. "Well Mitchell? You asked for a dare, I gave you one." He sighs and gets up.

Five minutes later, Mitch's dare was done and it was hilarious; I recorded all of it for banter. Now it was my turn again.

"Annie. Truth, dare, or heaven?" Kayla asks me, still snuggling with Lachlan. I smile slightly at the adorable sight. "Dare." I say softly, looking down. "I dare you to call one of Preston's contacts and pretend that he kidnapped you." I blink at the rather bizarre dare she gave me. I'd have to do it, it's a dare. "Okay." I mumble. Preston was already handing me his phone.

I scroll through his contacts, my eyes closed, before I tapped at a random one. I paid no attention to the name, only tapping the call button and waiting.
