*End Of Flashback*
I cried a little to myself, I miss my dad and brother everyday. My mom and I looked for my little brother everyday since then, we never found him. I won't give up though.
I shed a tear not realizing until Camo spoke. "You alright ma?"
"Why you care?" I spat "Cause I don't ever want my future wife to ever be sad around me" Even in the darkness I can see his pearly white teeth, I smiled to myself a little.
Then I snapped back into thought, "okay, enough of you TRYING to charm me, we gotta get outta here."
I whispered, they could be in here listening to us plotting.
"I gotta idea, see if you can get out of the ropes." I tried but they were too tight even on my tiny hands. "I can't" I whined
"Well, turn your chair and come reach in my pocket"
"Excuse me?" I looked at him like he was crazy. He couldn't see me but I'm sure he thought I would think he was out of his mind.
"Woah ma, not that....yet! I got a knife in my pocket, you can come cut me out and we can escape" Smartest thing I've heard him say.. Well the knife thing.
Relieved, I reached into his pocket and grabbed his knife, I guess only thugs carry whole knifes in their pockets haha
I cut him out and he did the same for me. We put the chair against the entrance door and ran to the window, but it was nailed and glued down. I hate when idiots try to act smart. Camo took off his shirt, wrapped it around his hand, and broke the window. I wiped off my lip checking for drool while I looked at his chest and firm 6 pack. I quickly got myself together praying he didn't see me. Being that he said nothing I thought he didn't notice. He let me out the window first.
We then walked over to their garage and fell in love with the light blue range rover. I looked around for a screwdriver. When I found one, I took a bobby pin out of my bun and cranked the car up. He gave me the 'What the hell' look and I calmly said, "I'm from the hood, learn something" he chuckled softly. We got in and he preceded to the gas station where our cars are, I'm guessing he knew this part of town.
We pulled up to Citgo and I got in my truck. I cranked it up and switched gears but he jumped in. "What are you doing? Get out!" I said clearly aggravated. "Can I atleast get your number? I technically saved your ass back there" he said all cocky. "And you technically got me into that situation too. But okay, 555-231-6754". I gave him the wrong number.
"555-232-6754?"
"Yeah"
"Quit playing ma, I switched a number to see if you gave me the right number. You know what? Give me your phone."
Damn. Caught me. I sighed and gave him my phone. He put in his number and called it. "Okay future wifey, I'll text you later" He winked at me, that man's gonna drive me crazy I swear.
I drove the short drive home, I put the car in the garage and walked straight to my Mom's room. I knew she was up even at 1:00 because she couldn't sleep without me being home. We were just that close. Bestfriends you could say.
She was sitting on her bed with two bowls full of butter pecan ice cream and chocolate cookies. I sat with her, kissed her cheek. Then I told her the story. She looked amazed to how all this seemed to happen in a couple of hours. But things happen in the hood.
