Young women, they run like hares on the mountain,

young women they run like hares on the mountain,

If I were but a young man I'd soon go a-hunting,

To my right fol-diddle-de-ro,To my right fol-diddle dee.

"Daddy, Do you think I can ever be a warrior like you?" A five year old Serena asked. Her dark purple hair lighter than usual. Her hair was up in a ponytail, dancing with the wind as she and her father sat under a tree next to an old abandoned library building. This was the last time she would see her father for another three years, He would be going off to the war in Cloronia with others exactly like him. Leaving their families, hoping to feed them and come back to them in one piece. Serena was scared for her father, but she knew it was his duty to protect the world that she lives in.

"Of course Rena, I promise you that you will be the first woman in Leniopia to ever go to war, the first one to have many respects from both men and women. Promise me Serena that you will follow your dreams and become fierce and respected." Her father said as he drew out his pinky to Serena. The little girl looked thoughtful at first, thinking about what her daddy told her. She wanted to make her daddy proud of her when he comes back. She promised herself at that time that she would train as hard as she could no matter what it took.

"I promise daddy,I pinky swear it" she replied intertwining her pinky with her father's. They were silent for a moment until her father started singing the old folk song.

Young women they sing like birds in the bushes,

Young women they sing like birds on the bushes,

If I were but a young man I'd go bang them bushes.

To my right fol-diddle-de-ro,

To my right fol-diddle-dee.

young women they swim like ducks in the water,

Young women they swim like ducks in the water,

If I were but a young man I soon would swim after.

To my right fol-diddle-de-ro,

To my right fol-diddle-dee.

"Hey Rena?." Her daddy whispered as she was lying on his thighs with a light pillow under her head.

"hm?" She mewled, mad that her father woke her up from her light slumber.

"If I do not come back, take care of your mother, and the children okay?"

"I promise daddy, and I also promise that you will come back." She replied snuggling closer to her father, not wanting to think about him being dead and not coming back. He continued to sing.

Young women they bloom like Laurel in springtime,

young women they bloom like laurel in springtime,

If I were but a young man I'd soon go and pluck some,

To my right fol-diddle-de ro,

to my right fol-diddle-dee.

Young women they run like hares on the mountain,

Young women they run like hares on the mountain,

If I were but a young man I soon would run after,

To my right fol-diddle-de-ro,

To my right fol-diddle-de-ro..........
