"What do you mean gone?" Taylor questioned Sam's boyfriend.

"S-she was right next to me when I went to sleep last night and n-now she's g-gone." Niall explained, the tears that had been welling up in his eyes now spilled over the rims of his eyes and trickled down his red face.

"Okay," Taylor sucked in a breath to calm herself down. "You stay here with Bentley and I'll go get Liam." She ran upstairs in a panic and pounced on the bed, practically on top of Liam. "Wake up!" She shook his body.

"Nooo." He whined groggily.

"Sam is gone." I whispered in his ear. "I think the men that are after you guys took her." He was up in an instant.

"From their bedroom?" He shot out of bed and ran into the kitchen. Taylor nodded her head when he turned around to glance at her for an answer. "Stay here." He said as he turned to the door. Curious and worried of what had happened to Sam, Taylor followed, disobeying Liam's orders.

They hurried through the condo and banged on the closed doors of Louis and Eleanor's chambers before barging in on the sleeping couple. Liam went over to Louis and backhanded him, trying to hold back a slight laugh and be serious. Louis woke up, sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"What?" He snapped.

"Sam is gone. Taylor thinks the men took her. Did you hear anything suspicious last night?"

Eleanor, hearing the chatter, awoke from her sleep with a groan. "I didn't hear anything." She mumbled.

"Me either."

Frustrated with so many questions and not enough answers, Liam left the room and went over to the window in Niall's room. He knelt down and examined the carpet.

"There's wood shavings on the ground." He said, more to himself than to Taylor, who was standing nearest to him. "Forced entry. They probably used a crow bar to pry open the window."

Louis gripped Eleanor's hand and tugged her out of bed and into the living room, Taylor and Liam following. Bentley was talking up a storm to Niall, who was still trying to calm himself down. They quickly woke up Zayn and Harry, who had slept through the commotion, and told them what was going on. Taylor sat on a stool in the kitchen next to Niall, pulling him closer to her and rubbing his back to comfort him.

"I-I don't understand. It's m-me they want. Why h-her? I was right there. T-they could've taken me instead." Niall managed to get out between sobs.

"They take what you care about the most." Taylor said blankly.

Coming to this realization, Louis held Eleanor a little tighter and Liam took Taylor's hand in his and squeezed it. Jokingly, Harry and Zayn turned to each other on their bed and smiled, being goofballs in the most serious situation.

"We're gonna find her, okay?" Taylor said, now worried for everyone's safety. "She's yours. Forever."

"Come into her room," Liam said to the group.

They all followed him back into the guest bedroom, Taylor's arm wrapped around Niall's back, steadying him. Sam was always his rock, and now his rock was gone. He would tumble down like a mudslide any moment. Liam lead them to the window, showing Niall the wooden shavings where the door had been broken in.

"I don't understand. She was right next to me when they took her." Niall put his hand on his forehead. "How could I not have woken up!?"

Liam walked over to the side where Sam slept and picked up a piece of black cloth. He brought it near his face and wafted it, scrunching his nose. "Chloroform. They drugged her, and probably you too."

Niall sat on her side of the mattress. "I just want my Sammy back."

Taylor opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by Zayn pointing to something on the back of the couch. It was a note that read "Call the cops and I kill her." Taylor took it and crumbled it up in her hand before Niall could see it. She sighed; she had just been about to suggest calling the cops.

"Who's hungry?" She asked them.

Niall was the first to turn away breakfast, that's when you knew he was getting bad. Niall? Turning down food? Never. He was taking Sam's kidnapping pretty hard, who wouldn't? Everyone turned down food. Taylor wasn't hungry herself, but she wanted to be polite to her guests. Taylor's home phone began to ring. She answered it thinking it was the restaurant, the only people who called her home number, but heard nothing but breathing and passed it to Liam, who put it on speaker as all of the boys gathered around him.

"Niall?" A gravely voice said on the other line. They could hear a feminine whimpers and mumbles in the back. They knew it was Sam, sounded like she was tied up with her mouth wrapped.

"Yes." Niall replied, using the strongest voice he could conjure up. The whimpers in the back got a bit louder, Sam hearing her boyfriends voice. The voice mumbled a 'shut up' to her and there was a loud noise and then silence, until his voice came back on.

"We have your girl."
