The Wind Is Quiet , When You Are Gone .

Chapter 5

                                                                          Flying is freeing,                                                                                                                                                                                 Until you realize                                                                                    You have to land.           

              The wind blew her golden hair back. She felt a light breeze on her quiet face. Eyes closed. Ukipae was flying between the clouds. She felt calm, she trusted the dragon, Ukipae, her protectant. She was feeling the bond growing stronger.

She wished the journey would last forever because she was scared of what awaited her. Ukipae sensed this and slowed down.           

"There's nothing to be afraid of" , his deep voice soothed her.                                                                                    "I still don't know what's happening. Why can't you tell me?"                                                                                      "It's not my place. You are needed at the castle and I'm bringing you there now. " Suddenly Ukipae dropped to the ground, "I can't bring you any further. It's just a five minute walk from here."                     "Why can't you come with me?", Chihiro asked uncertainly.                                                                                     "I'm not a person. I don't belong here. They'll kill me", he answered.                                                                         "Then why is he here in first place?" Chihiro wondered.                                                                                                             

"Didn't Haruko tell you ?" Ukipae asked with a concerned look on him.                                                                    "Tell me what exactly?"                                                                                                                                                                 "Long story short, my Princess, there's war between my island, island if beast and demons, The Island Of Great Elbic. And your power is needed to stop this nonsense."                                                               "I don't know what you're talking a about" , Chihiro stated puzzled.                                                                        "That's alright. You don't have to. I'm sure somebody will explain it perfectly. For now this is goodbye."                                                                                                                                                                                           Chihiro found it strange how she had only met the creature an hour ago yet she felt an inexplicable bond to him and a deep overwhelming sadness at being separated from him. She stroked his face gently and kissed his nose lightly.                                                                                                                         "Goodbye, thank you."                                                                                                                                                                "It is me who is grateful to you. I shall forever be loyal to you ", the deep confession came and Chihiro could have sworn the dragons eyes misted over.                                                                                                                   "Goodbye my Princess, I'll be watching over you." And then he was off. He was flying higher and higher until he couldn't be seen. Yet Chihiro felt his presence above her.                                                                                           

She started walking, slowly yet steadily, towards the unknown. The castle in front of her, the castle that holds all her secrets, her meaning, future and her supposed love.
