It had been four days and Michael hadn't left his room. Luke lay there at night outside his door to check that he could still hear him breathing and that he was okay.
It was strikingly similar to Elsa in Frozen. Michael seemed to disappear.
Luke missed him.
But Luke was heartbroken. Michael was everything Luke wanted and after Luke ignoring Michael for so long, it hurt like a bitch to have it from the other end.
"M-Michael?" Luke tapped on the door nervously.
There wasn't an answer, but Luke could hear him breathing.
"P-please don't l-leave me. I know y-you think I'm better o-off without you but I need you to help me live with myself-f-f-" Luke burst into sobs and slumped against the wall next to Michaels door.
Luke hoped that like a fairy tale Michael would appear, the beautiful glint in his eyes would be there and everything would be fine.
But Michael didn't come.
Luke lay down on the laminate flooring and squeezed his fists tight into his sleeves as he let angry, upset, broken tears flow down.
Michael cracked his door open an hour later to find Luke asleep by his door with tear tracks down his face.
He felt like someone had threw a dart right into his chest but he frowned and went to the kitchen for food.
He made sure to grab a lot of snacks and carefully stepped back in his room.
He was glad Luke didn't see his arms. He wouldn't want him to panic.
"S-so sorry l-l-Luke." Michael squeezed his eyes shut as he curled up in bed.
"I love you."
