1- Tour Guide

(Niall's POV):

I jumped to a wake as my bedside alarm went off, blaring an annoyingly repetitive beep specifically designed for giving people heart attacks. I groaned as I trudged out of bed and into my shower, washing away my sleep. I opened my curtains to see the cloudy, angry looking sky and dressed appropriately for the depressing weather.

After dressing, I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a plain white shirt with an unzipped gray jacket and a black jacket over it. I completed the look with a large beanie over my head and ears, along with some bracelets and black skinny jeans.

I nodded at myself, and grabbed my backpack before walking out the door and to my car. I drove to the nearest Starbucks to get a coffee for myself and the tour guide the principal had earlier mentioned I would have today. When I asked what coffee they might think he would like, they said they knew just the order he got when the lad sometimes brought them coffee. Niall had planned ahead of time to buy this tour guide a coffee in hopes of making a friend at this new school.

Being the middle of the school year, everyone would notice the weird new kid in London with a thick accent. I sighed, getting out of my car and into the building just before the first raindrops started. After ordering two hot black and white mochas, both with no whip cream, I jogged back to my car and got into school before the rain really picked up.

I quickly walked into the main office and asked around until I got to my specific counselor's office. I knocked on the door and he let me in, telling me to leave my stuff outside as it would just take a moment. "Hello, Niall. It's great to see you again." I had met Mr. Bradley a week earlier when I came to enroll myself, as I live alone. "It's great to see you too, Mr. Bradley." I stated, shaking his hand.

"Yes, okay. This is Liam Payne; he will be your tour guide today. I have matched your home room to his, as well as your class before lunch so you have a familiar face if need be." I looked behind the man to see who must be Liam smiling shyly at me, giving a small wave. I grinned and waved back at him, noticing how attractive he was.

"Okay lads, that will be all then. Niall, have an excellent first day, and good luck with your classes. Thank you, Liam." We both nodded before exiting the office together. Once picking up my stuff, I remembered our coffee I bought which was still hot and in the tray.

"Oh, Liam I almost forgot. I bought you a coffee this morning, because I knew I was going to have a tour guide; figured you could use a pick me up for getting up extra early to show me around." I smiled up at him, handing him one of the drinks.

"O-Oh, thank you. That's really kind of you." He smiled, grabbing it from me blushing. I grinned, glad I could get that reaction out of the cute boy. After showing me around campus and to my classes for an hour, we ended up in the auditorium together.

"We still have a half hour before people even start arriving, want to sit and talk?" I asked him, jumping up on the stage and letting my legs dangle over. We had put our stuff into our lockers, which we found were right next to each other. "Sure, sounds good." He replied, already much more comfortable around me.

"So Liam, tell me everything about yourself. Anything from birthdays and childhood pets, to your college of choice." Liam sighed, running a hand across his shaved head.

"Uhhhh, let's see. My name is Liam James Payne, I'm 18 years old and in my final year of school. My birthday is August 29, 1993 and my college of choice is Notre Dame in Indiana, United States, but I'd also really like to go to school in New York. I had two turtles when I was 15, but one bit the other's foot off so my mum made me get rid of them. I have two sisters and I love to sing." I nodded my head in approval, soaking up all the information he gave me.

"What about you, mystery boy? Wanna tell me about yourself?" He smiled goofily at me, nudging me with his shoulder. I smiled widely, nodding my head and thinking of what to say. Suddenly, his head cocked to the side, and he smiled slightly at me. "You have braces." He stated. "You're cute." I said right back. He blushed and looked down, trying to hide a smile and failing. I giggled, readjusting my beanie.

"My name is Niall James Horan, middle name the same as yours. I am 18 years old, born on the 13th of September, 1993. I'm in my final year as well, and my college of choice is Julliard in New York. I have a chubby pug named Maya, and obviously I'm into the arts as I want to go to Julliard. Oh, and I have a brother and a nephew who live back in Ireland. Also, I'm bisexual. I hope you don't mind." I looked up at him as I finished, gauging his reaction. He simply looked pleased and stared right into my eyes.

"Listen, Niall. I know I just met you an hour ago, but I was wondering if I could do something." I raised an eyebrow at him curiously. "Sure, what is it?" I asked. "Can I...Kiss you?" He breathed out, looking toward his lap and glancing sideways at me. "Oh...um..yeah. That's fine." I whispered back. He smiled shyly at me, before leaning it toward me.

I leaned in as well, our noses brushed together and our foreheads touched. I breathed out gently as his hand came and rested on my cheek before he connected our lips together. It was just a gentle peck, but it was enough to make my head spin. He pulled away and breathed out, wide-eyed.

"Wow..." he whispered. I nodded, my head still fuzzy with the numb feeling. He touched his lips, a gentle smile working its way there. "I think I'm gay." He suddenly admitted. I laughed loudly at this, and he looked at me with an amused expression.

"You have a cute laugh." He chuckled, smiling to a point where his eyes squinted almost shut. I giggled and put my hand behind his neck and pulled him in for another kiss. We laughed throughout the kiss, both of us smiling as our mouths worked together. It was cute and innocent, while being a bit on the hot and sexy side.

We finally pulled apart when we heard the bell ring from a distance. "Looks like that's our cue to get to home room together." He sighed, pecking my lips once more and hopping down, offering me a hand. I accepted and grabbed my bag, noticing my hand still in his but not minding. We walked to home room like that, with people stopping to introduce themselves to me the entire way there.

Maybe this school would be good for me, I thought to myself. I met a cute boy that I will get to know better, and maybe one day we will be something together. Niall and Liam. Liam and Niall. I like the sound of that. I looked over at the very boy seated next to me during class, and he looked back, smiling sweetly. I grinned, looking down at my work again as I felt him sling an arm over my shoulder.

Yeah, this school will be good for me.
