"Thank you guys so much! Once again I can't believe I'm here playing for you all, this is incredible. To think I'm just a boy from Ireland, opening for Ed Sheeran at Madison Square Garden is insane. So the last song I'm playing is my new single which is out now. Here's Ignorance."

Liam watched as the blond boy started jumping and moving around the stage, getting into the beginning rock-like instrumental. As the song turned to lyrics, he bent his knees, singing perfectly in the faces of screaming teenagers.

He was hopping around the stage, spinning in circles and banging his head with the music.

I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out

Jumping up and down, full of energy, he went from side to side of the stage taking turns holding some of his fans' hands.

He held his mic out to audience letting them sing:

When the guitar solo came, he span in circles again, loosely avoiding the chords around his feet on stage. The vocals came on again and he threw his body around, hitting the higher notes perfectly, using his voice to its full capacity and sounding great. His gaze went to the ceiling as he gave a few fist pumps with the mic, letting the audience sing again.

Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out!

A fist pump and a head bang between each word, he finished the song off. He collapsed to his knees, putting his hands out for the screaming audience to grab at.

"Thank you! Thank you so much New York!" He bowed, shaking some fans' hands before walking off stage.

(Niall's POV):

"Niall, a fellow recording artist is here to see you." I heard Paul say from the doorway of my dressing room.

"Send 'em in!" I shouted back, pulling a clean shirt over my head and wiping the excess water off from my shower. The door closed and I turned around to see a boy with a shaved head and brown eyes standing there. Liam Payne.

"Hi." He said, standing there unsure of what to do. I smiled, taking a step closer to him.

"Hi to you too." He smiled, looking awkwardly at his feet.

"How did you get in here?" I suddenly asked, realizing how heavily guarded this arena was.

"Oh, uh, Paul let me in." He said, looking into my eyes.

"I'm quite a fan of your music, and I wanted to let you know your performance was great." He admitted.

"Oh! Oh, thank you very much! Jesus, that's odd to hear from such a successful artist like you. Though I am glad you enjoyed it, it was a lot of fun to perform."

"So, I got some things for you and Ed. I mean I've already given Ed his, because he's a family friend, but I got you a bracelet that has a clover on it." He pulled out an adjustable green and brown fabric bracelet with a clover charm on it, and white beads.

"The first leaf stands for hope." He put it on my wrist as I held my arm out.

"The second leaf stands for faith." He adjusted it so it sat right on my wrist.

"The third leaf stands for love." He gave the strings a tug, tightening it around my wrist.

"And the fourth leaf for luck." He looked into my eyes and smiled.

I smiled back, staring into his eyes. Without realizing what I was doing, I started leaning in and seeing him do the same thing. I swallowed, closing my eyes as our noses bumped and feeling him breathe out onto my lips.

Just as our lips barely brushed, a loud bang on the door interrupted us, and we tore apart. I looked up at Liam with wide eyes, blushing.

"Niall, it's time to go! We need to get you to the hotel before traffic out here hits!" I rolled my eyes at that, shouting a reply before turning back to Liam.

"Want to take a picture together before I go?" I suggested. He nodded pulling out his phone. We turned it to the front facing camera, and smiled into the shot. We took a few pictures, mainly laughing at our faces. He poked my side and I turned my head to look at him, laughing.

We snapped a few on my phone too before putting them away. "I'll tweet it as soon as I get into the car, yeah?" I said, shaking his hand. He smiled, promising to do the same.

"Alright Liam, see you another time mate." I said, grabbing my stuff and walking out.

"Wait, Niall!" He shouted, causing me to turn around.

"Yeah?" I asked.

He walked toward me and kissed me, causing me to squeak in surprise. He pulled away quickly, covering his mouth.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking, doing that and I just-" I pulled his hands away from his face and kissed him again, quickly.

He kissed me back, wrapping his arms around my waist and on my lower back. I pulled away and smiled. "Keep in touch with me, Liam." And with that I walked out.

I looked at my phone as it beeped with a notification.
