This is going to sound totally crazy. But I went back to school RIGHT after getting back from Paris with my family. My parents said I could stay home... but I really missed my friends and I needed to see them. So. School! Yay! Not.

Now. I thought going back would be a good idea since I was gone just for like a year. Oh was I wrong. Because my stupid brain didn't think of all the drama and boys that meant high school. And I can't say boys. I only look at one boy at school. His names Nicholas Mason. He is the total hunk. He was the senior captain of the football team. He was even in honor roll! He cared about his grades!

"Hey Mac(e)." Someone says behind me, breaking me from thought.

I jump, turning quickly to see who the voice belonged to. My eyes start watering when I see the soft, familiar face.

"Aidan." I say, almost in a whisper.

I quickly wrap my arms around the familiar boy, pulling him into a warm needed hug.

Now. What to know about Aidan. He's been my best friend since preschool. He was the one person I could count on for everything I asked him. He's my other half. And not in a sexual way. Although that's what I really want... But he was just... Always there- always. I never had to worry about calling him. In the middle of the night and him not being up. He put all conversations on do not disturb besides mine. And he NEVER got mad at me. Ever. He would just say everything's okay and everything will be okay. Even if all odds went against it, he didn't care. Cause he knew the simple words made me feel better.

"God... You have no clue how much I missed you." He says, breaking me from thought again...

"Oh I promise I missed you more."

"I highly doubt that."

"You have seen other friends. I haven't seen anyone but family and French people for the past year!"

"What friends?" He gives me a cheeky grin.

"You have friends!" I exclaim.

"If you mean your group, they hate me."

"They don't hate you."

"Highly dislike."

"That's not hate!"

"Oh shut up loser."

"It's true!!"

"It still doesn't change the fact I have no friends."

"What about Josh?"

"He keeps ditching me for Allison."

"That's awful Aidan!" I say, just as I see Josh and Allison walking down the hall.

Now. Yeah. Aidan and I are best friends. But a girl needs her girlfriends, right? Allie is my girlfriend.(not like lesbian. Best girl     friend)

As soon as she sees me, she drops Josh's hand and runs up to me.

"MACY!" She exclaims as pulling me into a tight hug.

"Oh my god Allie!" I laugh.

"When did you get back? Why didn't you call?"

"Allie. Calm down. I got back last night."

"Why didn't you call?!"

"My phone died on the plane and I didn't get home until 3 am."

"UGH." She groans.

Josh walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. Her whole body visibly tightens.
