I gazed up at the stars, wondering if I'll ever see them the same again. They were so mysterious before, but now that I can compare them to something, they've lost their mystery.
I start to wonder if anyone has ever captured a star, literally held one in their hand. But that's ridiculous. Stars are much bigger than any person.
"Matt?" I quickly look behind me and notice Ally followed me outside.
"How long have you been standing there?" I question.
"Just a couple minutes. What are you doing?" She steps up next to me.
"Thinking."
"What are you thinking about?"
"You."
"What are you thinking about me?"
She turns and stands right in front of me."Just... You." I smile. "I always think about you."
"Makes me feel special." She says as pecking my lips.
"You are special." I wrap my arms around her, pulling her body into mine.
She smiles. That smile is so bright, it could light up a whole town.
"Your perfect, babe." I smile.
"No I'm not." She looks down.
"Ally." I grab her chin and lift it. "You are perfect." I kiss her forehead.
"I was told to kill myself today..." She says quietly.
"Ally....." I wrap my arms around her.
"I almost listened to him."
"Who told you to?" I ask as rubbing her back.
"Austin."
My body stiffens, cause we've had problems with Austin before.
"It'll be okay baby. I promise." We walk inside and lay down.
"Matt?" Ally asks, her voice is small.
"Yes baby?"
"Can you promise me something?"
"Anything."
"Never leave me."
"I would never in a million years."
I hear Ally's breaths even out. And within minutes, she's asleep.
I look out the window and see the stars.
Maybe there never was a mystery. Maybe it is all a dream. All a dream and none of this existed. Maybe life is a dream inside someone's head.
Maybe-
BEEP BEEP BEEP
I slowly open my eyes and look around.
Shit. It was all a dream. All a dream I wish were real.
