My hands lay gently above the keys and soon they were flowing from side to side. The beautiful sound filled the room with Beethovens greater delights and I ducked as Jacob flipped the music sheets page for me.
I seemed to be following the third line. My fingers rest on the last key as the note faded out in the atmospheric room.
"Nessy that was beautiful." He whispered still lost in the echo of key.
"Well it wasn't too bad." I admitted, keeping my modesty.
"Now let's practice what we did the other day," I reminded him, scooching aside so he could sit beside me on the chair.
"E—D#" I started, and Jacob played the lower keys.
Moonlight Sonata.
It wasn't surprising that Jacob had started to learn the piano alongside me. My family was very musical one could say. And I guess it influenced him.
We stopped after the third E starter and I stopped his playing by gently brushing my hand over his.
"You've gotten better since the last time I played with you," I noticed.
The way his fingers swiftly rushed from one key to another. The way the notes were encrypted into his mindset was not normal for his progress rate as we hadn't had a lesson in a while due to my absence. Jacobs intellectual capability was vast. Although he always found piano difficult.
"When you left, I'd play everyday. I needed to know that you were here. I wouldn't let myself even try forget you." He remarked, wrapping an arm around my lower shoulder.
My heart erupted in blazes of emerald fire and I held him in my arms. What I did was inexplicably unforgivable and I had no idea why I still had the right to call Jacob mine.
"Well now we'll play together. Your nearly as good as me what being a major and all." I laughed, flipping my silk hair to the side, spinning the mood of things.
He laughed with me and resumed his hands onto the shining keys.
"I'll count us in this time," I insisted holding my forth fingers up.
"Why shouldn't I?" he asked, although you could tell by the tone of his voice that he didn't want to.
"Because—pale faces do it better," I reminded him, referring to my half human side.
He surrendered accordingly and I counted us in. We played against the keys magically. At times our hands would brush against each-others and I would smile because I knew he felt the spark of our contact too.
The violet of the evening broke through the crystal windows as we played into the dusk. No one was aware of the upcoming battles we would have to face. No one knew of the army we would have to build to face them. For tomorrow a new day would come and it would be followed by evenings dusk.
Although the worry in my wondrous mind was would it be our last?
