«Seven Years Later»

"Kila! Kila Fenfier Loka!" Came a shrill voice, ringing throughout the house that she lived in, and no, she wasn't stalling, she was just finishing up cleaning the jewels he had collected, "Hold on!" The little girl cried desperately, quickly wiping off the last one before setting it down, she stood and then took off quickly, running to the backdoors, pressing the button to open it before she darted out and ran up to the woman she called her mother, though they didn't look alike, not at all.

Kila had red hair and blue eyes, while the woman across from her had pale yellow hair with sparkling green eyes, and... well, Kila didn't feel a deep bond with her, a deep connection. As if she knew that she was her real mother, but... she didn't have it with this woman and she was smarter than most thought her to be. She played dumb, she always had to act like the innocent child, for fear of being found out that she knew a whole lot more than she pretended to know.

Like the fact that she was a slave and not a child to help out, she couldn't go outside or go anywhere without one of them permitting her to go somewhere, she couldn't eat what she wanted unless someone said she could, which was very rare and she was always hesitant.

Only for fear of upsetting someone, she didn't want to get them angry... because angry people were people she knew to avoid. She had a scar to prove that a run in with someone angry was a very bad idea, and she didn't know, honestly... all she wanted to do was help someone out and they nearly...

"I need you to retrieve water from the market." She said to the little girl, handing her a necklace and making her put it on, the woman claimed that it was to show she belonged to a family and no one could steal her away, or else they'd be in big trouble.

Normally, Kila wouldn't be able to read, at least that's what they thought. She could read, and write, she practiced herself when she was alone in her room. And she stopped one day to read the necklace and it said; property of Prevrence Van-Dau.

'Property', she was property of the man who lived in the house, that would often come back late and would reek, sometimes he wouldn't come back to the house (it was no home to her) - for three weeks. While it has been a joyous time for Kila, it was not one to Mika, who was worried sick and seemed very snappish, so the young girl had to do all the work while Mika laid in bed all day, claiming she felt extremely sick.

And during those times... Kila didn't get to eat. But she did get to practice something she had always wanted to try, the ability to levitate things. Hell, it was weird when she first started to do it, but she found she could, and... yeah... she would practice it any time she was able to. All the time when she was alone, she didn't know why she had it, she wasn't afraid of herself. She loved the gift that she had, but she was wary about it, because some people might be fond of it too and...

She was more or less thinking about Prevrence, he could want to use her and her gift. Kila knew he was like that, she saw it in his eyes, he was one of the evils in the galaxy... She didn't know exactly what he did to gain all of his riches, but she had a feeling that it was something bad and something she certainly didn't want to know about, which is why she didn't ask, which is why she avoided him and tried to do as he asked her to spare herself from being around him for too long, she was afraid of that man.

"You are to be meeting Quyi." The man who gave them water for drinking, it was going to be hard to pull it all back here, but Kila didn't say a word, she just gave a half nod to Mika and waited for her next instructions, "Here is the bag for water, tell him it's the regular amount." She said, handing the little girl a bag that held units in it, Kila pulled it close to her chest, as if saying that she would protect it with her life, now she was only waiting to be dismissed, "Be safe." The woman said as she stroked her hair for a second, then she waved her hand in dismissal, which was her cue to leave.
