Kila walked with the man, the units forgotten, the water forgotten and the two men were nearly forgotten as she moved down the hall, through the hanging beads and into a whole new room completely, it was a slate blue color with images, paintings, writings on the wall that seemed to jump out at her, that seem to glow - her eyes were wide as she slowly took her hand from Quyi's hand and walked around the room, noting how it was round and how smooth the walls were, a couple of rugs had been placed on the floor, they were black with a grey symbol on it... it was hard to describe the symbol, but it was the one that was on her pendant, and she stepped over to one, kneeling down beside it before touching it lightly, her brows drawn together in concentration.
"I know this symbol." She mumbled softly, not loud enough for the other man to hear her, but she lifted her head up to look Quyi in the eye and tapped the symbol a couple of times, "I know this symbol," she repeated, a slight grin coming to her face as she continued, "I have it on a pendant, I had it since I was a baby." She explained when the man had a look of confusion on his face, then he approached her and knelt down across from her, he looked as if he was thinking of something important, so the young girl didn't interrupt him, she just waited until he raised his head, his eyes meeting hers, "Ever since you were a baby?"
That's when she knew it was time to tell him her full story, which he only knew that Prevrence was not her real father, nor was Mika her real mother. And Kila supposed, that now, she had to tell him her secret. That no one else knew besides her, and she trusted him, of course she trusted him because he was kind and would protect her, always.
"My real mom and dad left me outside of Prevrence's house, Mika convinced him to allow me to stay, he thought it would be best to keep me as a slave... and uh, I had this pendant, around my neck when I came and... I'm not exactly sure what it means, but sometimes I feel it calling to me." Kila paused after a moment, biting on the bottom of her lip as she wondered how crazy this actually sounded, but here he had with this symbol and listening patiently for her to continue on at her own speed, she started... so she had to finish now, "And... I... uh... I can lift things. Without even touching them... I just think about it and want it to happen... and it happens." She explained, now her eyes moving down to look at her fingers as she messed around with the both of them, waiting for the man to say something about her story. Which was completely true, though... she wasn't sure if he would believe her.
"Do you know what the force is?" He asked after a second, making her look up in curiosity and shaking her head slowly, hoping he would explain what the 'force' was, it sounded like... it just appealed to her, in some way. She didn't know how or why... the word was just- "The force is an energy field, it's created by all the living things in the galaxy, it surrounds all of us. Flows through us and binds the galaxy together..." he explained, and she saw how his eyes lit up, watched as a smile came over his bearded face. Though Kila was young, she was not stupid. She knew that he loved this, and she knew... in that moment, she could feel it. The force...
She knew it was true, all of it. It was just a feeling you got, and it may come on suddenly, it may just come on gradually... but she could feel it, Kila connected to it, she could feel it slowly coursing through her, it was just an odd sensation that made her gasp, her pupils dilating as her hands clinched into fists. The man's attention turned to the little girl and he felt a surge of strength, just come from her.
She was force sensitive, a very powerful one at that. And he couldn't help his smile when she opened her eyes again, looking right at him with a smile of her own, then she uncurled her fists and set her palms down on the floor, "I felt it... I don't know how, but I know it's the force. I felt it!" Well, she didn't feel it once, she knew she had felt it, every day, but it wasn't as strong it was right now. It was like nothing she had ever known and it was amazing, she loved this feeling, "Well, not everyone can feel what you feel." He said, making her smile fade just a bit as a curious expression took over her face, once more wanting the man to explain.
