"Kila! Girl! What did I tell you?" Prevrence shouted, making her hurry up to run down the stairs, tying her hair back, making sure she was dressed appropriately as she moved over to him and took the keys he held out to her, yes, he was angry. But she wasn't afraid of him, she had shown that she didn't have any fear for him - even though he was older than her and taller than her, she was stronger than he would ever know. Ever.

"Yes, sir. I know. I'm sorry, I'll get back quickly. I promise." She said as she was already moving out the the door in the front, him following after her, a scowl on his face as he saw her... actually looking happy, she never seemed happy. Mainly it was because of him - though he had not a care for her emotions, if she was feeling sad or not, but this happy aura she had was... more or less annoying, "No dilly dallying girl, I will find out if you do." He said, jabbing a finger into her side as she climbed on the speeder, having the bag strapped to the side, a slight smile on her face as she sat there and looked down at him, "Don't worry, sir. I'll be back, I promise." And with that, she pulled her goggles down and then shot off quickly, heading right for the market under the blazing double suns, the smile still triumphantly on her face.

The mercenary stood there, a frown on his face as he watched his slave speed off, wondering why... why... out of all these days, she was acting so strange. She was smiling, she was skipping around and she took any bad thing he had to say about her and threw it away, something was up.

He wasn't an idiot when he practically raised the girl from birth (technically it wasn't him, it was Mika, but he was there to witness it), so he knew how she was. Things like this, her spirit going through the roof, this wasn't normal. But now he courting inquire her about it because she was already gone, gone from his view as well. Though he still glared in her direction, unmoving, his arms crossed, eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out all the reasons she could be a giddy thirteen year old...

He didn't move when he felt an arm wrap around his chest, another one slithering around his waist, he knew it was Mika, he just didn't really react to her touch. Always the same, always gentle and caring... it was something he enjoyed more than he planned on admitting, "There's something up with her." He griped out, his voice now rough, scratchy, worn from shouting at Kila and Mika all the time, though it didn't exactly sound different to him...

The woman behind him shrugged, signs of grey in her pale blonde hair, coming from her age, she felt as if she was getting older and it wasn't exactly pleasant, but she did as she could to please Prevrence, such as Kila did.

"She's just a girl, a very young girl... maybe she's excited about getting out." Mika rubbed the man's chest a couple of times and kissed the side of his neck, a soft sigh escaping her lips, "I assure you, you have nothing to worry about." Kila was loyal, obedient and knew where her hope was, she also knew what would happen, if she were to run away from her home, which happen only once, last year. And they made sure that she wasn't to leave the house ever again, and this was the first time in a year, so yeah, it was likely she was excited to be getting out.

Mika shook her head and then tugged her mercenary's waist, "Come on, it's hot out here." And she would not allow the two of them to die of heat exhaustion, Prevrence grunted just slightly before he moved pulled away from her arms in favor of holding her hand and following her inside.

Hah, think she's just excited to get out of the house? (In this case, she is, but there's another reason.), There's to be a raid on the village, by the Jedi! They were coming here, they were coming to free the slaves and get Quiya, also her. She was a slave, she was going to be freed, but she wasn't going to be relocated, she was going to be a Jedi! Or, a padawan at least, Quiya said as much. That she had the special gift and he wasn't going to let anyone else get to her to use her for their selfish desires, and for that, she was grateful, and he was to take her on as his apprentice, like he had been doing in the past few years - and yes; she was becoming more and more powerful, though he told her that she had many years to learn and many more things to be able to know. Before she could become a real Jedi, she knew the code, but thought it was bogus.

Not all of it, just the part of not being able to have love. Love is one of the things that keeps the galaxy as stable as it was, but then again... there was point she couldn't argue with, love can be fake and people could do awfully stupid thing for love and end up hurting themselves or others, but love is something that's very hard to deny. Supposedly it took forever to drill it into your head, the code of not loving or having a family, Kila supposed, in time, she wanted her own children, a husband.

Though the dream of being something great, such as a Jedi... well, supposedly it was a good thing she had quite a few more years to think about it. Perhaps it was best to just wait until the actual decision came up to her and told her she had to make a choice, since right now she had no clue as to what she could or should do.

The girl exhaled as she stopped the speeder bike and took the bag off, some of it consisted of her own stuff, that she put in there, she was going to keep her things while sell the rest of these things off to whoever wanted them, they didn't matter to her. Nothing or Preverence mattered anymore, so far as she was concerned. She never like him, she never loved him. He didn't care for her now, and she never cared for him, then only person in that household she ever cared for was Mika, multiple times she had talked the man from dishing out a severe punishment, so Kila hoped to be able to sway someone into letter her go, because she was partially a slave.

"Kila, do you have what you need?" Quiya greeted the girl, his arms immediately encircling her and giving her a hug, glad to finally be able to see her, and to see her in once piece was a relief, she was back. The girl he considered his daughter and it was more than he could ever ask for, the Jedi were now coming and he could take her back to the student palace and teach her properly! It was what she deserved, especially because of how she endured all these years with him, through the years of frustration, the anger and occasionally injuries. He could just break down in relief, but he couldn't because Kila would be weirded out to see how weakened he was, but it was with joy. Because they were going to be okay, and it would be soon.

"Yes, I have what I need." She told him, hugging him back, a smile splitting across her tan complexion, she too was glad to be near her mentor - the only father figure she had ever had, in these few years of her life.

"How long do we have to wait?" She questioned once they had released each other, she followed her mentor back into his shop, her eyebrow raised just slightly as she looked around, seeing how he had packed up most of it while she was gone, yes, she missed a whole year of training, but she never allowed that to stop her from practicing what she already knew in her room, at night, since she knew that this day would come and it was best to be prepared for it.

"Not long." He said as he walked behind the counter and started to pick up the bags that mattered the most, a smile drawn on his face as he did so, and as soon as he finished speaking, there was the sound of ships entering the atmosphere.

And Kila's bright blue eyes got so big... She was nearly shouting for joy as she jumped up and down, "Oh my stars! It's finally happening, oh! Yes, I have been dreaming about this-" she cut herself off with a little squeal at the thought of making her own decisions, the thought of never being hurt by anyone because she could finally defend herself! And it was all she could think of as she picked up one of the bags that Quiya had motioned to, then she was running out the door to watch the ships, branded with the symbol of the Jedi, descend onto the desert sand, from the sky... freedom was so close... it was so close, she could feel it strumming through her veins, it was time to start a new life!
