Chapter25-A Promise

Tyler's Pov.

She had grown into such a pretty girl. When she looked at me, I tensed up, not knowing what to say.

"Camryn-" I said before watching her put her hand up to stop me.

Obviously, she hadn't forgot about what I did to her. One stupid night ruined her life and I saw that from the moment it happened.

Lisa tried to calm her down, which ended in her rushing to the bathroom and throwing up. I followed behind them, waiting to talk to Camryn again when Lisa stopped me.

"Tyler, you should go downstairs and lay low for a while. I know you want to talk to her, but now is not the time." She said looking up at me.

"I don't have much time." I reminded her.

She huffed. "I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing it-

"Because dad will take your son ." I said, cutting her off. "I wasn't sleep, and i know you're fucking him again."

Her eyes widened as she looked away. "He got me drunk, and it will never happen again. I'm doing this because I want Camryn to get over her fear of you." She said, poking a finger into my chest. "Now take your ass to the basement and don't come back out until I tell you to." She said seriously.

I let out a deep breath as I backed away. She was still a bitch and a lying one at that but her lies would soon catch up to her. She had no idea what she had got herself into.

I was halfway down the stairs when I heard Lisa yell out something about her son. I had to stop and listen.

"Your baby?" I heard Camryn shout back.

"Yes mine! I raised him! I take care of him! I'm his mother and you will not take that from him because you can't grow up! I understand it's a lot but you will not drag Mason into this!" Lisa yelled back.

"You said when I got older, I could tell him the truth and I'd be able to raise him." Camryn said in a lower tone.

I scrunched my face up, trying to comprehend what was going on.

Lisa continued. "I don't think he's ready for that. How can you explain to him that the person he believe is his sister is actually his mom and his dad is his brother? Why would you even want to tell him that?" Lisa asked in a nasty tone.

My eyes widened. I never knew about Camryn getting pregnant, and I damn sure wasn't aware that she had actually kept the baby.

"Because it's the truth." Camryn said lowly.

My heart sank hearing the conversation, especially because i was the one to blame for it all.

Heading down towards the basement, all I could think about was this child I never knew I had.

After reaching my new room, I pulled out my phone and dialed my dads number. I couldn't believe he would keep that from me.

"Yeah what's up?" He answered after a few rings.

"Why you didn't tell me about my kid?" I asked soon as he answered.

He exhaled before speaking. "What kid?" He asked.

"The one Camryn had after we left. Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him again.

"Did you forget that you raped her? Why would you care about it anyways?" He said harshly.

I sucked my teeth. "I only did what you asked me to do dad, but I didn't know that she'd get pregnant or have my baby." I said disgusted with myself.

"Well then you should've pulled out." He said sarcastically.

I shook my head. "Dad I have a son that's probably like four or five years old by now." I said in disbelief.

"You need to pull your shit together and do what I sent you to do." He said in a serious tone.

I bit my lip, thinking back on our conversation. "When this is over, I want to be apart of my child's life." I said to him.

He coughed. "Well you're never gonna be able to do that with Camryn around. I already have Lisa handled, now all you have to do is handle your end of the bargain. If you really want to be in your sons life, then you do what I say." He snarled.

I nodded as if he could see me. "I will, when the time is right, I'll do it." I promised.
