thanks loves x

Joe's POV:
she looked so beautiful. I couldn't believe I was going on a date with this gorgeous girl. I hadn't given her much attention due to YouTube, but this outstanding girl still was giving us a chance even with me neglecting her almost. I was such a lucky guy.

"hey, whatcha thinking about." she says to me with a curious face, still holding on to my hand as we walk to the very special place I have planned for us.

"just thinking about how lucky I am to have you." I say with a smile, swinging our hands back and forth as we walk down the stoned pathway. I know it sounded corny and cheesy, but it was the truth.

"well I'm thinking about you too, how handsome you look in that suit and how I still don't know where we're going." she giggles then looks at her phone which is in her other hand. it buzzes two maybe three times.

she clicks the lock button and puts the phone in her black rather small bag.
"tonight, my attention is all on you." she says with a cheeky smile.

I didn't think much of who was texting her, but I couldn't care about that too much in depth right now. I wanted tonight to be special.

Maddie's POV:
my phone wouldn't stop vibrating in my hand. I tried to not think about it but it just kept buzzing. It was distracting me from Joe. from having all my focus on him. I look at my phone, 10 new messages. holy shit.

five from Caspar, I don't even remember giving him my number; he must have put it in when I was with Joe that night getting blankets. one from my mom texting me good luck on my date, it least I think that's what it said. another one from my phone company, and three from Luke. Luke? oh yeah that guy from the club.

why is he texting me again??
I shut my phone off and put it in my bag. I shrug off all the texts and tell Joe that I'm all his tonight. I wanted tonight to be perfect. no one was going to ruin that.

we begin to walk towards a large gate with bushes around it on both sides. the gate looked very rustic and like something out of a fairy tale.

"wait here for a sec." Joe says in a hushed tone, then you watch him peek through the gate. he then pulls back one of the bushes and theirs a secret entrance leading to the other side of the gate.

"ladies first." Joe says bowing down a little for more of a dramatic effect. "why thank you Joe." I say as I enter the suspicious entrance to a dark setting. darker than behind the gate.

I hear shuffling and Joe saying ouch multiple times till lights turn on. millions of fairy lights all around us. we were in a small park like area, with flowers everywhere and even a pond in the distance. the place looked taken care of, but the gate looked like it hadn't been opened for years.

"wow", I say finally in disbelief. I look around and now see a small outside table with candles and plates all set up for a party of two.
"isn't this place incredible", Joe says now walking towards me.

"Joe." I turn to him and he's already looking at me. "no ones every done this for me. I mean how did you even find this place?"

Joe grabs my hand and we walk to the table he had put together. he grabs a large picnic basket from behind the table and pulls out all types of goods. sandwiches with all different types of stuff on them; pbj, Bologna, ham, Swiss, you name it Joe had it.

we sit in such silence. no one around but Joe and I. when Joe was done he looked up at me and said, " this place was my grandmothers. she bought it when she was 70, thinking it would be a great place for her to garden and have her children and their children have a place to play.. but when my parents split up, no one really hung out here. my grandma kept it up, but she was becoming older and older. I came to visit every week, and every time she got worse." I reach for Joe's hands across the table, we intertwine fingers, trying to comfort him the best I can. "she passed away not too long afterwards and everyone forgot about this place. everyone except me. I decided at age fourteen, to keep this place running and looking as great as it did... Maddie, I've never brought anyone here. your the first." he paused running his thumb up and down my hand, "I've always wanted to show someone this place. someone special. no one ever met my expectations. till I met you."

I couldn't help but blush and tear up. Joe was such a sweet person. this boy has kept up a secret garden for about 10 years. not showing or telling anyone. waiting for just the right person to show and spend its beautiful presence with.

we eat our sandwiches and talk more about joes family and my own. Joe was the class clown. of course he was, he always was making me laugh. every time I'm with him I feel all my problems just leave. evaporate into thin air. when I wasn't with Joe, I feel kindof upset. like my other half isn't with me.

"Maddie, lemme show you something." Joe says standing up. we walk towards the back of the garden where theirs a white bungalow thing with benches, more fairy lights, and in the middle is a place where a prince and his princess would dance the night away. Joe and I walk into the bungalow, and I say, "Joe, again you have absolutely amazed me."

joe replys with a grin and says, "oh stop it." he walks towards a disk player that I hadn't seen before and turns it on. a very slow old song plays and I suddenly feel the urge to spin in my purple dress.

"ma lady, can I have this dance?" Joe says bowing down, waiting for a response.

"why yes sir Joe." I say curtsying and grabbing onto joes hand. we dance for what felt like hours but was only a few minutes. by the end of the last song on the track we slow it down and I mold my body into joes. I rest my head on joes shoulder and sway back and forth with him. he spins me around a few times.
"Joe I feel like an absolute princess."
I say meaning every single word. he spins me again then lowers me down and looks deep into my eyes.

"Maddie, you make me the happiest guy in the entire world. I wouldn't ask for a better girl or night, cause that just doesn't exist."
he leans in ever so gently and plants a slow gentle kiss on my lips. he slowly lifts me up but never breaks the kiss. the kiss begins to deepen and sparks fly. It felt like when we first met, that first kiss all over again. but now it felt oh so familiar. like we've known each other for years.

it's official. I've fallen hard for Joe.
