Save Me
Chapter 22
Again
{Ofelia's Pov}
I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to wrap my brain around the new information.
"You're my what?!" I screamed.
"I'm your step-brother." Dominick sighed.
"How? We don't even look alike! I get all of my looks from my dad! Matt gets his looks from both our mom and dad! I have brown hair and brown eyes! You have black hair and green eyes! And why haven't I ever heard of this before? Why hav-" I was cut off when his hand clamped over my mouth.
"Shhh, calm down. Listen, I'm telling the truth. The reason we don't look alike is because I get my looks from my mom. But Claire, she looks just like you. She has brown hair, a little darker than yours. She also has brown eyes with specks of green, just like yours. She got the green from our mom just like you got yours from your mom. In telling you the truth." I listened as he explained every question I'd asked.
His hand left my mouth and I sat there, just staring off into space. I have a sister, also. This is crazy! I was about to say something but I was cut off by the loud sound of a car door slamming shut. I shrunk back in fear as the monster approached me.
It's really him! He's really here!
He stood in front of me and smirked.
That same smirk that he wore when he killed our mom.
That same smirk that he wore when he beat Matt.
That same smirk he wore when he raped me.
I winced when he brought his hand up to my cheek and brushed his thumb across it. Dominick watched us with fear etched into his eyes.
"I missed you." His evil voice groaned in my ear. I shivered as his breath hit my skin in short puffs.
"But luckily I had another toy to play with while you were gone."
I watched as Dominick's whole body froze. Tears poured from his eyes violently. Though, he restrained himself from attacking my- I mean our dad. Smart kid.
I felt so bad for him, and his sister. I've experience all of the pain she's had to go through. All of the suffering and pure agony. I remember how broken Matt looked when I told him. I could only imagine how Dominick is feeling right now.
I can't believe that sick bastard raped his own daughter, again.
{Ian's Pov}
Anthony, Mari, Josh, David, and I have tried everything we could. We looked everywhere for any kind of evidence but failed to find anything important. We called the police and gave then all of the information we knew. Now all we have to do is wait. But how can I wait when the love of my life is held captive by her crazy rapist of a father! Ugh!
I plopped down on the couch next to Anthony and wiped the tears from my puffy eyes. David, Josh, and Mari left to go get pizza. Kalel came over as soon as she heard the news. She was currently sitting in Anthony's lap, trying to comfort him. You know, sometimes I need to be comforted, too. Kalel looked over at me and frowned.
"Ian, I'm so sorry. This must be really hard on you." She said while she rubs my shoulder.
"It's all my fault. If I didn't take her out to that park then they wouldn't have taken her. She would be here, safe from her father." I began to cry into my hands. I hated crying in front of people. But right now, I couldn't help it. Kalel sighed and rubbed my back soothingly.
"She really loves you, Ian."
"I know."
"You know? How?"
"Her last words before she got taken away were, 'I love you, Ian Hecox'. She shouted it before he put her into the van." My head was still rested in my hands and I was sniffling, trying to stop my crying. I stopped crying and let those words sink in.
Holy crap!
She loves me!
"Oh my god! She loves me! She really loves me!" I shouted standing up. Anthony as Kalel smiled at me.
"Wait, how long have you two known?" I questioned.
"I knew the day before we broke up."
"I knew the day they broke up."
I frowned but nodded my head.
There's still hope. I won't give up on you, Ofelia. I'm going to save you.
