London chapter 3

Each class was the same; boring long lectures, worksheets, jaws dropping open when the teacher announces my full name, people gawking at me as if I had two heads, then again in English class, when the teacher placed me in Jessie's seat.

This time, everybody around me had their eyes glued on me like I was oxygen and if they take their eyes off me they'll die. It was very annoying and I had to plug in my earbuds just so I can block out their wide eyes better until my English teacher told me I couldn't listen to music and took away my phone.

In between classes, people turn their heads at me and whisper to their friends. "New girl." "Jessie." "Susan May." Those were the words I overheard and it was enough for me to know what they were talking about. I could tell people were curious but nobody tried to talk to me.

It got so annoying that pe was the last straw.

I walked into the changing room and because all the rooms were locked I had to change out in the open. Girls gaped at me as I change into my gym strip, and it made me feel so weird that I had to glance down at my own body to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with it like if I was sprouting fur all over my stomach or something. All the lockers were full so I tried asking someone if I could share her locker with her but the moment I spoke to her her eyeballs popped out of its sockets and she slammed her locker shut and made sure it was locked before sprinting away.

I was done.

I slammed open a random unlocked locker, threw out the stuff in there and placed my own in before locking it. "Hey!" A voice yelled, "you can't do that!" I ignored the girl and walked out the changing room, purposely bumping into her on the way out.

My pe teacher wasn't any better. His name was Mr Larry and this was how he introduced me, "We have a new student today! Her name is London May!" Followed by gasps from students and then followed by "London please tell me, are you Susan May's daughter?"

He looked at me like an excited puppy, waiting for me to say yes and admit that I have famous parents. But for some reason that just made me not want to admit it because even though having famous parents isn't something you should be ashamed of, everybody asking me is making me wanting to do the opposite just to piss them off because I was pissed off.

So this was what I said, "I have no idea how Susan May is." Which resulted in gasps from everybody and whispers "she has no idea who Susan May is??" "Does she live in a cave??" "I think she's lying!!"

I stormed out the gym.
