She first saw him, through the split screen on that one faithful day in July last year.
Just a glance of him from the tv screen took her breath away and made her heart skip a beat.

Everyone sees Alden Richards as a good-looking dimpled-face young man.

While, for Maine, what she saw through that screen is a man who is pure, kind-hearted and gentle.
Something she thought she would never find.

For Maine, this was her version of "God gave me you."

Alden was her angel. Her savior.
He came into her life when she needed him most.

Before Eat Bulaga, Maine was lost in the world. She just came back from her internship in New York.
She had a wonderful time there. She was accomplishing her dreams.

But when it was time to come back to Philippines, she didn't know her purpose in life again.

Then, her angel came sent from the heavens.
He gave her hope when she lost it.
He gave her love when she needed it.

Now, what they have is something that she could not even fathom. Something from her dreams, her wishes.

And she hopes that this would not end.

Before, Maine was not very religious. She was not bought up that way.
But because he was, she learnt to be as well.

One day, she finally found the courage to ask him why he was so close to God.

Why does he wear a rosary bracelet? Why is his phone background a cross?

"Because I lift myself up to Him." he replied. "Why, you may ask? Because he is my hope and my strength."

"Kaya Maine, don't be afraid to talk to Him. Talk to Him about your troubles, your fears, your worries.

Allow Him to be your source of life.

Ask Him anything you want, and I'm sure somehow or rather, he will give it to you." Alden answered her with the brightest smile that she has ever seen.

Then Maine realized...

She didn't ask God directly, but she did once wished while looking at the heavens...
For her to be saved.

And now, here is Alden, a good-natured, kind and selfless man.

Is he God's sent to her?

Is he her savior that she asked?

She then smiled back at Alden. Copying his wide grin.

Alden is angel in disguise, but her angel nonetheless.
He was her guardian angel.

Thank you, Alden.

Thank you, angel of mine.
