"I had the dream again.. the one where all of my friends were killed, even the vampires were murdered; by their own kind.. I remember screaming for Elias trying to reach out for him, but then I woke up."
-Mitzi.

I yawned softly, sitting up in bed; I looked out the window with a frown, it was finally the beginning of Summer and I had no idea what I wanted to do first.
Everyone was talking about part time jobs, and I really didn't want one of those things.
I didn't know what Skeeter had planned either, I sighed; rubbing my eye I removed myself from the bed then walked down the hall.
The only thing I didn't like about summer, was the heat.
I walked down the stairs, into the kitchen to find Elias sitting there eating a bowl of cereal. I rose a brow, now that I thought about it, I've never really watched my brother eat breakfast; only cook it.
I opened the fridge to find no blood packets inside, I couldn't help but frown deeply at this; I looked to Elias who was continuing to eat his breakfast in silence.
"Where are the blood packets?" I questioned.
Elias glanced to me. "Blood packets?" He repeated, as if confused on the question itself.
I glared softly. "Yes, Elias; I need one." I hissed irritably.
Elias arched a brow, removing himself from the table then placed his bowl in the sink.
"You don't need blood, Ryne said so." He told me before exiting the kitchen.
I stood there for a moment. "Ryne? Who the hell is Ryne?!" I snapped running after him.
Elias slipped on his shoes before turning to me.
"Just some guy from work who told us to no longer give demons and vampires any kind of blood." He informed me.
I felt my eyes widen at this. "But, Elias! We will turn to ash if we don't feed!" I snapped.
Elias frowned looking at me. "That's why Ryne doesn't want anyone to drink the blood, he wants us all to turn to ash; for the sake of humanity." He told me, and with that; left without saying anything else.

"What do you mean, some random guy from your brothers work told everyone to stop providing blood for the supernatural?" Emerald practically hissed, I sat on the couch in front of a house full of both demons and vampires trying to figure out the issue myself.
I looked up at her with a frown. "That's just what he told me.. his name was Ryne, that's the only thing I know about him." I murmured.
My eyes landed on Skeeter who had his wide already looking at me, I felt my stomach drop looking at the other.
Skeeter cleared his throat with a frown. "I will see to it that this problem is fixed." He told me heading over to the door, I chased after the other grabbing his wrist with a frown.
Skeeter looked at me with slight anger.
"I need to find out if this is, my Ryne; or if its just some asshole seeking a death wish." He told me.
I frowned softly. "What happened if a fight is started? Skeet, you'll get in trouble with the police." I hissed.
Skeeter smirked. "Its cute seeing you being worried about me, I'll be fine." He told me before leaving the house.
I stood there, and all I could feel; at that exact moment. Was fear.

*Skeeters point of view.*
I walked outside of Mitzi's house with irritation and curiosity racing through me, in all of Ashville there was not a single human or supernatural creature with the name 'Ryne.' This must be either convenient or I was seriously fixing to be face to face with my dead younger brother.
I was walking through deaths door when I walked into the hospital, it was pretty normal at the moment; if Ryne worked here; I knew I needed to find either Elias or someone who knew where he would be.
I glanced around until I finally spotted Elias, he was writing something down on a clipboard; I frowned walking over to the other.
"Elias." I began to get the others attention.
Elias's head shot up as he turned to me with confusion. "Skeeter? What are you doing here?" He asked me.
I frowned. "I'm looking for a person, he works here... his name is Ryne?" I told him.
Elias tilted his head before he blinked a few times then nodded.
"Ah, come on; I'll bring you to him. He just got to his office." He told me.
I nodded walking after the other, I glanced around to the nurses and doctors; they were looking at us with slight suspicion, who could blame them?
"How are you holding up as a vampire?" I asked as we stepped inside the elevator.
Elias could only shrug. "I'm still adjusting, its been a few months; but with Zeke's help. I'm growing more accustomed to it." He said.
I nodded leaning against the wall inside the elevator, my arms crossed; we were going to the top floor of the hospital? That was an odd place to keep offices..
"I'm guessing Mitzi is used to the idea of you being a vampire as well?" I asked trying to keep conversation.
Elias glanced to me with a shrug. "I guess.. she still has her moments where she doesn't really approve of it, but she's trying too for my sake." He said with a sigh.
I looked to him as the elevator doors opened and we walked down the long hall where doors surrounded us.
"You know, even though she may not admit it to your face; Mitzi really does like you." Elias informed me, I couldn't help but grin at this.
"I'm glad, I want to keep your sister happy as possible." I told him.
We stopped at a closed door, Elias looked to me before giving it three taps.

"Enter." Said a voice.
I couldn't help but frown at the sound of it, I watched as Elias opened the door; the office was dark inside as I looked around with cautiousness.
"I was wondering when you would come and find me, Skeeter." My eyes shot open wide seeing Ryne, my younger brother. Standing at the desk, his arms crossed behind his back as he grinned deviously at me; I glared softly.
"How are you here..?" I asked with venom in my tone.
Ryne cocked his head to the side, his eyes wide with amusement as he held a toothy yet sharp smirk.
"Is that anyway to greet me? I have been missing for some time now, and you never once tried to look for me." He told me, still grinning.
I frowned remembering how Mitzi had once suggested that I should search for him.. but the past the two of us have, and the reason why he was murdered in front of me.. I couldn't force myself, to go on a hunt for a fucking monster.
I looked at him for the longest moment, before glancing to Elias.
"Elias, I want you and everyone to evacuate the hospital; now." I demanded.
Elias looked to us before heading over to the door but once winced being slammed into it by Ryne who turned to me, his hand wrapped firmly around Elias's throat as he looked at me with annoyance.
"You are being a very rude brother, Skeeter; I would hate to kill one of our own, just to prove a point." He told me squeezing down on Elias's neck.
I glared darkly now. "Don't fucking kill him Ryne." I hissed.
Ryne arched a brow. "Oh? Why not..? Is he your mate?" He questioned looking back at Elias now with amusement.
I shot him a look. "No, he's my mates brother; now let him go. He has nothing to do with us!" I hissed.
Ryne cocked his head to the side with a smirk.
"If you insist." He said before grasping Elias's collar then threw him into the bookshelf that fell on top of the other.
"Elias!" I yelled running over to the other but was only sent into the opposite wall with a dagger digging into my throat now.
Ryne's eyes pierced deeply into mine with amusement. "Now that pretty boy is out of the way, let's continue on the topic about us; is this where you've been this whole time?" He asked me.

I looked at him for the longest minute before nodding. "It is." I told him.
Ryne smirked, his hand released my neck as he walked over to the bookshelf that was on top of Elias before stepping down onto it, adding pressure. Elias winced out as I glared, fixing to move; the dagger went flying until it landed in the middle of my hand, piercing it to the wall.
I hissed out in pain as Ryne cackled before looking at me innocently.
"I hope you weren't needing that hand for anything." He told me.
He approached me, but stopped when the office door opened.
A young woman, with long brown hair walked in with blue eyes with confusion.
"Um.. Mr.Ryne..?" She questioned.
My eyes shot to Ryne then to her, Ryne held a very irritated look before racing over to her and ripping her head clean off then threw it against the wall before leaning against the same wall where the decapitated head now rested.
Ryne looked at me with much annoyance.
"Just how rude can these humans get?" He asked me as I stared at him with horror.
At that moment, I knew; Ashville was fixing to burn, especially with this monster here.

Because who doesn't love some gore moments? Yeah, Ryne isn't at all as I had planned for him to be xD he's very twisted but acts very innocent to gain his brothers attention.
I think it worked, don't you?
Chapter nineteen will be up sometime, I don't want to say tomorrow; because there is no telling if it really will be.
However, with the action rising up; I am sure, it miiight be.
Also, if this chapter seems rushed or has misspelled words; I apologize. I am lacking sleep, but I will look it over tomorrow if I find any kind of errors.
Until then.
Thanks!
~Celty.
