Day 2

It had been no more than 36 hours, and Megatron’s daughter was already ready to burst with impatience.

Vapor: “That’s it, WheelJack, I can’t just sit here anymore!”

She paced around their base, one servo on her helm, the other on her waist. WheelJack, however was still perfectly calm. Sort of. If his love weren’t distressed, he’d be perfectly calm. He managed to keep most of his demeanor, though.

WheelJack: “Vapor, we need to waste time.”

He tried to reassure her, he’d been trying all day. It just hadn’t worked for the spark of him.

Vapor: “That’s exactly the problem! We’re wasting time! We could be out there looking for her but we’re sitting on our butts waiting for someone who may or may not already be offline to bring her back to us online! What on Cybertron could be worse than waiting to find a body?”

The Wrecker stood on his peds and walked up to her, and before she could even realize what was happening, he was kissing her with incredible intensity, his servos gripping her arms, holding her to him.

In a matter of seconds, she melted into the kiss, a fair amount of stress falling away in the passionate moment.

WheelJack pulled away slowly, looking her gently in the optic.

WheelJack: “Vapor, she is coming back to us whether you realize it or not. All I want you to do is relax.”

Vapor: “But I can’t.”

    She protested, almost childishly.

WheelJack: “How about we take the JackHammer for a spin? I’m sure that’ll help. I’ll even let you drive as long as you don’t intentionally crash it.”

She looked at him shrewdly, as though deciding whether or not she should be offended.

Vapor: “I won’t crash it.”

    He looked a tad perplexed.

WheelJack: “Really? I did the first few times I took it out for a spin.”

Vapor: “That’s because you’re a guy.”

She scoffed. His optic ridge rose in mock offense.

WheelJack: “Excuse me?”

Vapor: “Whoops.”

Vapor ran over to the JackHammer and started it up without pause, excited to be getting out and doing something worthwhile, however little that worth was.

WheelJack followed and jumped into the passenger side before she could take off.

WheelJack: “Were you going to leave me here?”

He looked at her, holding back a grin, with only partial success.

Vapor: “Pfft, of course not.”

She told him, her tone light.

WheelJack: “Why don’t I believe you?”

Vapor: “I have no idea.”

She replied innocently as she flew the JackHammer out of their small base. WheelJack sighed after a few minutes.

WheelJack: “I don’t want to bring this up, just in case you weren’t already thinking it, but Vay, no vigilante rescue missions.”

    Vapor sighed in return.

Vapor: “I know, WheelJack. I just want to help her.”

WheelJack: “You’re helping by giving them time to escape undetected. Besides, if you go back there and Megatron figures out you’ve switched alliances, he’ll destroy you.”
