Summary: Leo and Karai have been secretly dating and talking about Karai leaving Shredder for good everyone else is okay with her living with them but what happens when Karai has doubts that Leo will be able to protect her from? Will she runaway or stay and finally have freedom? Takes place after S3, Ep.18.

She ran. She ran as fast as she could with the events that occurred minutes ago. As she landed on a building then leaped into a warehouse she sighed. As she pulled off her mouth piece, crimson red liquid trickled down it. Blood. Blood that was hers. She quickly put it back on as she sensed someone close by.

"Leo!" She said as she whipped around relief was in her voice.

"Is...something wrong, you're wearing your mask." Leo said, as he reached out to take off her mask.

She let him take it off. She closed her eyes and as soon as she heard the gasp she cringed. Although, it was common for her to get beaten regularly, to him, he hated seeing her like this.

Heck, he ALWAYS beat her every time she did something wrong. Leo always hated it. He said something about her moving in with him, yet she couldn't do it. She knew Shredder would find her and kill her if she went anywhere.

Leo and Karai have been dating for a while now. At first she was just trying to gain his trust so she could kill him. Then when she failed Shredder just started beating her. Maybe even worse... anyway she never broke up with him although she acted it out in front of the foot clan so no one would get suspicious. It was a pretty cool technique other than Shredder still reminded and beat her to death just for one. Stupid. MESS UP!!!

Her punishment was worse than a cheek bleed though if someone were to take off her jumpsuit her body would be covered in scars and bruises.

The price people pay for love.

Splinter didn't care about the relationship. She wasn't hurting him and she's been over to the lair a couple of times and he sensed a true love between the two. So in a way he didn't see any harm in the two dating.

Anyway back to reality!

Karai just sat down as Leo ranted about how her father was always beating her up. It's not that she didn't understand why or that she didn't like someone caring for her. She just...didn't understand why?

She leaned back into Leo's legs as she sensed him behind her.

He sighed, being used to her clinging when something was wrong.

"Karai we have to do something or else Shredder is gonna keep turning you into a slice of human Swiss cheese! Leo replied scared for his girlfriend.

Karai sighed.

"Leo,...I can't...you KNOW I can't...who's going to give you information on Shredder's next attack or shipment.

Leo turned her to make her look at him even in the dark of the warehouse her eyes still twinkled like stars as did his to her.

Leo sighed as he looked down then her in the eyes again.

"I don't want to lose...I could care LESS about the information knowing that the Shredder is beating you. Leo's hands moved from her shoulders to her waist.

"...please...!"

His expression was sad with tears stinging his eyes as they came out and streamed down his face.
