Request/Summary: This takes place after Karai learns about her true origin and that she's actually Miwa. She starts having personality issues and is trying to figure out who she is because apparently Miwa is the pure and innocent girl and Karai is far from that. She soon starts to feel suicidal because she fears that she'll never live up to the Hamato family's expectations of being Miwa. Karai decides that maybe it's time that she ended it and goes to the Byerly Building. Will Leo be able to save her or will it be too late?

Pushing away her plate as she got up off her chair, she walked to her room and shut the the door. The darkish dim light being by her side as she skipped another meal this weak. She didn't know what to do. All this 'her being Miwa' talk made her upset. She couldn't tell anybody how she felt. However she knew she was far from what the others described her as.

Sliding down her far wall of her bedroom of the sewer home she shared with the turtles, nothing seemed right anymore. She couldn't eat because she would always just not be hungry or because she just up chucked it later. The only thing she seemed she could do now drink water, lock her self in her room, and cry.

How could she be HamatoMiwa the daughter of HamatoYoshi! She worked for the evil Shredder and was an around bad girl. Plus nobody here, except for Leo and Splinter, seemed to except her. Raph gave her the cold shoulder, Mikey tries to make her feel welcome, Donnie just sits in his lab all day or hangs with with one of the other turtles and April. The only time she was ever seen was on patrol. Karai not April.

A little wet spot seemed to make its way down her cheek.

'You could never meet up to expectations of her...little miss perfect... Miwa.'

The voice in her head hissed.

"I know..." Karai said agreeing to the voice it's been going on for weeks she finally gave in and started listening to the other voice that kept bringing her down but...it's the truth.

'Look out there with the perfect leader in blue...Leonardo. I bet all the encouragement toward you is just a cover up. I bet on the inside he just wants you to die...'

"No...he-he wouldn't really want that...would he?" She questioned, her voice faltered.

'Of course he would...just being there every step of his perfect way, something you could never achieve, he actually has honor, you're TWO SIDED!!!'

Images of her past life flashed before life. She never thought once since she got here. All she ever did was fail...

"Maybe I should do it..." Karai thought, thinking about the Byerly Building. She picked up a pocket knife laying on her counter top, rolled up her sleeve revealing a bandaged up wrist. Unwrapping the bandages, revealing dagger marks all over. Scars.

She took the dagger and placed it over her wrist and made a mark for everyone she had failed.

Her blood father.

Donnie.

Mikey.

April.

Casey.

Raph.

And...

Leo...

Blood had trickled down her wrist. She grabbed a bandage and re-wrapped the wound. She knew what she was doing. She wanted this. She wanted to suffer and kill herself, she felt like she deserved this. She heard everyone say goodnight and said goodnight herself to the four brothers and her father.

Karai laid in bed, awake. She couldn't sleep. She kept having thoughts with herself until THAT voice came back.

'They don't care about you...' The voice hissed.

"Yes they do." Karai yelled in her head.

'Then why do you self harm? It only means you're giving in more...' It chuckled.

Karai kept felt herself sink deeper when the voice living inside her now said that.

'That's right! I'm too strong for you...'

"No..." Karai whispered sadly.

'Your weak...All you ever do is cause them pain...Everybody would do better off without you'

Suddenly something clouded Karai's mind, as she succumbed to the voice. She snuck out of the lab, with a note that was dropped near the entrance of the lair.

Leo woke up hearing someone exit the lair. He got out of bed and silently but swiftly got to the entrance and saw a white piece of paper. He picked it up and read it.

(A/N: Can't think of a letter)

Leo's eyes widen and he quickly followed Karai. Hoping he wouldn't be too late.

Karai stood on top of the Byerly Building looking at what would cause her death. The high fall would knock her unconscious but the cement would seal her fate. She was hesitant about doing this. Suddenly something told her do it. She took more steps closer. She wanted to go back.

She wanted to go to back to Leo as she stepped over the edge...
----

Leo felt fear soar immediately as he saw the girl he liked about to fall he raced up to her and was able to grab her wrist. He saw her look up at him. Tears in her eyes. He knew she was scared. He pulled her up and brought her into his embrace after getting away from the ledge.

She cried into his embrace. Relief that he caught her filled inside of her. She snapped, however with sadness at her actions.

"I'm sorry..." She whispered. "I didn't mean to do it, I just-"

He shushed her by smashing his lips into hers.

"Karai it's okay. I know, I just don't want you to do it again. We'll get through this...together."

Karai nodded. She liked the sound of that.

"Leo?..." She asked.

"Yea?" Leo replied.

"Can we just...stay like this?" She nearly pleaded.

"Sure..." Leo replied.

She smiled. She knew she forever be safe in his arms...
