Can't have you.

Tears ran down her face. She hated it. She hated that she couldn't have what she wanted the most. Him. She sighed as she looked at a picture of Leonardo she had. It wasn't fair! She confined herself, she couldn't control herself. She was there in Shredder's lair listening to what they had in store for her. Then she attacked her own family against her will. Now here she was again after she ran away and was gone for a whole year.

He drew her back here. He is what she wanted to see again. She was still too dangerous for him. She went back to the Byerly Building where they first met. A tear went down her eye, knowing she could never return to her love, her Leonardo. Sad thing was he was the closest thing she had to friend maybe even more. Picture soon became soaked with her tears.
----

Lightning was followed by thunder as Leo looked up. A raindrop landing on him. His brothers were searching in other parts of the city for weird activities that were a threat to New York.

So far everything came up clear. Except for maybe a storm moving in. Leo however wanted to sure ther was something she left. He wanted her. He wanted her to come home. He just wanted her...safe, free, her true self, the one he fell in love with three years ago. Just her...
----

Freezing cold rain poured down onto the roof. Isn't it everyone's dream. To be stuck in the rain and no one to enjoy it with. Lighting snapped and thunder roared right after. She knew she'd have to seek shelter, however this could also be it. Her Leonardo coming for her.

Images of good times the two shared remained forever burned into her memory. What left a scar though was what the Shredder FORCED! her to do. She never wanted them hurt or dead. She couldn't control it. She left the city the worm reminded her of what she was...a monster...

That's what everybody else saw in her...now...so did she.
----

The rain made it barely able to see. While everyone ran inside their homes for shelter, Leo couldn't do that. He was out here for a reason. A hope, a feeling, something he could grasp onto just hold her, bring her home, and finally, FINALLY! have peace and happiness within his family.

The rain was getting colder. There was place he hasn't checked. Where they first met. The Byerly Building...

As he made his way through the rain and finally landed on the roof he saw her. He saw the white snake in the dark of midnight.

"K-Karai?" Leo nearly cried out.

Her neck snapped in his direction. When she saw his blue and green in the darkness, She let out a cry not of sadness...no...She was now crying tears of joy. As soon as he was close enough, she threw herself on him, transforming back into human form. Her hands were now clothed in black once again as they slipped around his neck, soaking up rain water.

Leo,suddenly felt something. Another presence. He opened his eyes and looked up. A foot bot about to launch an arrow at...

"Karai look out!" He yelled and turned as the arrow shot, piercing his shell and right into his heart. Karai backed up as she looked at Leo. Her breaths were still shaky. Leo collapsed. Karai looked up and saw the foot bot. She ran full speed at the foot bot and sliced it in half. She ran back to Leo.

"Leo!" She yelled kneeling at his side.

"Leo...Leo, can you hear me?" She whispered. She grabbed his left wrist, looking for a pulse. A good amount of blood surrounded Leo from where the arrow shot.

"No..." She whispered. "You-You can't be-!" She choked back her words. She didn't want to say but he was indeed. Dead.

Tears of sadness slipped down her eye again. She just had him in her grasp. She lost him. She somehow removed his shell, took his katanas, and took his blue mask before sinking his body in the river.

Epilogue

It's been two years since he died. She looked at the shrine she made. The old wooden shelved cabinet made it perfectly for her to make it. The katanas laid against the inner wall in an 'X' formation. His dark blue mask sat by her framed photo of him. Karai sat curled in a corner the back of his shell was kept close to her stomach. Her arms held in a protective way. Rocking herself back and fourth. The shell was the closest thing she had to him.

"I'm sorry Leo...," She cried, "I wanted you so badly. I had hope that we...we could be together. Now, you're dead and I can't have you...
