WHAT?!?!

She couldn't tell the Shredder. Karai stared nervously at the test. She's been vomiting for a week and FINALLY decided to go to the drug store and take a test. She was positive.

"10 weeks?" Karai shout-whispered to herself.

Why was she just getting sick now? She couldn't turn back now. Could she? Leo would be thrilled to know that what happened 10 weeks from last night after Karai had saved her father, the Shredder from the lake, and then met Leo at her apartment, they did what some couples do... Both had no idea that this could change their lives. Permanently.

Karai put her hand on her stomach and smiled. She always wanted to be a mother. A change of her ways and take a break, if you will. She had to tell Leo. She grabbed her secret phone and texted Leo to meet her at their secret spot. Leo replied with a 'Yes'. Next was trying word to her lover that she was carrying his child.

Leo ran as fast as he could to the abandoned warehouse. Thoughts of things were running through his head.

'Was she hurt?'

'Is she breaking up with me?'

All these questions kept running through his brain while he was trying to figure out what girlfriend/lover wanted.

As Leo entered the warehouse he peered in and saw Karai, sitting on a bench mumbling to herself. He snuck in and hid, listening to her.

"I-I can't tell him! What if he leaves me and the child." Karai said aloud.

'Child? Wait! Is she?!' Leo thought frantically. So many things were now running through his head.

He left on the ground behind Karai. Her shaking form fells as she started crying. Leo walked up to her, knelt down and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Hey...I...I overheard you..." Leo whispered.

Karai's eyes widened. "You-You did?!" She choked out.

Leo nodded. "And you know what? I think if you're committed then...I'm all for it." Leo continued, gently.

Karai turned around and smiled, brightly, yet shyly. She couldn't wait until...

"Leo...how are we going to keep this a secret? Once it starts to show..." She trailed off.

Leo got the hint. "We could take a trip to Japan." Leo suggested.

Karai thought about it, then came to a decision. "Alright, it's a date. Wait what if Shredder finds out about her..."

"How long?" Leo dared to ask.

She laughed nervously. "Uh...ten weeks...heheheh."

Leo rolled his eyes, playfully. "Alright it's a date." Leo smiled.

Karai did too and snuggled into Leo.

~ Time Skip to after 9months and after labor~ cuz I work like that~

Karai held her tiny bundle of joy that she brought she brought to the apartment. They moved back to NYC. Splinter accepted their relationship and the kid, however he didn't give in quiet that easily. His brothers didn't know however. Leo didn't plan on telling them till she was six. Nor did Shredder know either.

It was currently midnight. Leo woke up to something shifting the king-sized bed. Leo looked over and saw the baby girl.

"You wanna hold her?" Karai whispered.

"Yes, please." He replied. He sat up against the pillows and took the sleeping child. She had ocean blue eyes, black hair, a turtle shell birth mark, and Karai's skin color. The baby snuggled into Leo, cooing her adorable little coos.

"What did we name her?" Karai asked.

Leo thought for a moment. "Celestial?" Leo asked jokingly.

Karai would've loved to sock him right there but he was holding the baby. Her eyes still shot daggers toward his direction.

"Alright, alright." Leo whispered. "How do you like...Akira, meaning bright; clear?"

Karai smiled. She liked the name. "Akira it is then." She smiled as she crawled into bed.

Not all stories have happy endings but theirs did.
